Because logical math is not applied in this game. Percentages are added all up and then applied to base stats. Not sure how you haven't noticed this, but it's everywhere. If you add library and university research along with war coalitions, you can get some ridiculous gains from healers and troop damage. I routinely 5 star opponents stronger than me in wars without using generals because my supply cart healing research is all complete, damage from my factory and most barracks research is also complete and my coalition research is maxed for my age. And I'm German so get the 15% damage from winning a multiplayer attack on top off all of that too. Always thought it was weird, but whatever. Outside of war attacks its much harder.

You are wrong. Every buff or discount is applied to the base stats, in this case the 30 mins training time.

Because nexon doesn't take 20% then 20% from that, then another 66% from that. They add all those together then take it from base time so 20 plus 20 plus 66 is 106%

That's what I meant.
The overall reduced times, incl library & researches, is THEN reduced by a further 66% of the training blessing.
The TB is not added to the reduced time, so you cannot get a plane ''instantly''.

The way you explain it, the 66% reduction is not applied to the base stats(30 mins), but to the already reduced time (18 mins french with pentagon).

What Ava Dome says here. All buffs are totaled, then applied to the base. So it is base-(base×(buff1%+buff2%+buff3%)) or base-((base×buff1%)+(base×buff2%)+(base×buff3%)) and not ((base×buff1%)×buff2%)×buff3%

Now I do think it should be the way you are saying, but currently it is not.

If it was the way Manifesto is saying, we would of have way stronger armies and planes.
Base + library buff, then the result buffed again in university, and after another buff from blessings or coallitions.
Buffs applied in different order would change the end result.
