Have done a bit of searching on here this morning but can't seem to find what i'm looking for (I may just be being daft).
Is there any guides/lists that show the upgrade path for troops/units? As in something that shows that heavy cavalry eventually upgrade into medium tanks or cannons into artillery for example.
I've only upgraded a few of my units through the armoury to try to keep ear weight down but unsure if i'm missing out on other troops who might be worth upgrading too?
Main reason I started thinking about this was trying to attack someone's base recently who was a similar level and age. I used 4 reasonable level troop tactics along with all my barracks/factory troops and my alliance donations (which included a HT and other units from much higher ages). Got absolutely wiped out by them without taking a single star.
One reason was getting swamped by too many defenders spawning too quickly (something I've been suffering with in general) which I've started to address (by changing my default army/tactics and adjusting my play style to suit).
However they spawned a few jeep/4x4 type units that were fast moving and absolutely slapped my army. Pretty sure they looked to have some kind of machine gun on them but not sure now. All I know is they seemed to be the main reason for this particular defeat (far worse than a typical battle for me). Can't remember what Nation they were now.
So i'm trying to find a list/upgrade path so I can work out what unit it was and what building etc generates them and if it may be worth building into my own army/strategy.
