Useless ages:

Since I have been playing I have come to really love this game. However in my humble opinion there is at least 1 useless age: (Enlightenment) You can get oil but have no real place to spend it. Generals are OK and the factory is all but junk in enlightenment. You take on players with crazy high upgrades with tanks and planes. Enlightenment is gunpowder 2.0 and that's it.

With this new Atomic Age it is beginning to feel like Global is the new Enlightenment, or Industrial 2.0. The upgrades are enormous on defense and offense alike in Atomic. I am torn between staying Global or moving up to Atomic. The only advantage to staying Global is battling IA players. However All players Global and Atomic now will have the Trap Blessing, up to 3 SAM's, and the towers will take out a plane with 1 stray pass. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. What is so good about trap blessing? Is it good because rearming becomes really expensive in high ages?

Sams don't have enough damage to one shot kill a plane, atleast when it is only one that is triggered on one plane. They are pretty much designed to one shot kill bombers only. Also yes I agree about Englightenment feeling like a chokehold age. My little alt account is on it and I'm adamant to the idea of going Industrial as soon as I atleast get my core army, tactic, and and lvl 10 gen upgrades. It's significantly better to reap the benefits of food and armory upgrades than to stick around in an age and upgrading all the gold buildings. Especially if you are a free player, since going from enlightenment to industrial will net you a +2 more workers to help with upgrading things faster. Global might very well be another chokehold age in the coming months as atomic players start getting their full armies up and roll over global bases.
