We need Troop Chests!

There are no normal wars currently ๐Ÿ™„ unfortunately.
And I'm going to hit someone 50 levels above me pretty soon.
So I guess I can see whether Mountainking 's theory can apply or not ๐Ÿ˜‰

Again. No we (I, personally) do not use troop cards too often. No, not all the time, not even 50% of my attacks. And no, not just about an ego. We just want to get full score for alliance XP, and if in the past troop chests were the only things we could receive by trading all our bloody rubies, it's so disappointing that Nexon could abandon that fact these days. Very disappointing ๐Ÿ˜Œ

So, what are our rubies for again?!

Rubies are for nothing. Just ignore them and ignore Marco Polo as well. Another useless feature in the game, like many others.

Lol Imaera , please don't say so? I was going to suggest them to use rubies to exhange with Legendary or Rare artifacts? ๐Ÿ˜† Or at least blue prints or supplies!

At least the dock doesn't cost money.
People complain that there are whales out there but dock troops are free, workers notwithstanding.

0 free troops via the dock. They all cost the most valuable in game commodity - worker time. At least 2 worker days for any of the better cards.

And even the most valuable of those is not as good as any of the infantry cards from a troop chest.

Unless you are in a time race war against an evenly matched, in which case you need to use 4 good cards on almost every attack to get the time down.

I do follow your advice in all the other wars we are in, so have plenty of junk cards. The problem is, they are the cards that don't really help you win wars - not strong enough to help on the really big bases, and not fast enough to be the go to cards on time races.

So if Iโ€™m reading this right then broken matchmaking drives the need for troop tactics which are only reliably available through purchase because Marco doesnโ€™t have troop chests? Whereโ€™s the motivation to fix that?

Broken matchmaking will probably last forever. No doubt on that.
If, just if they're generous enough to fix Marco's bad trading offers, we can at least cope a little with that war issue.
My suggestion would be rubies for legendary artifacts, supplies, blue prints, or even NTG. Those items don't even equal the effectiveness of troop chests, but at least they're not real crap, like what Marco is offering lately.

Missing troop chests already. Sigh.

My minor complaint now is that I need more than 10. I have maxed rubies all over and can buy the 10 now. But would have enough for 11 once this war is over. I remember they used to toss like 150 of every items up for no reason but perhaps people found a way to hack it.

yes many of us had maxed rubies and could buy 10 troop chests.

my strategy is to simply save rubies until troop-chest-weekend comes up and get as many as i can.
that strategy is pretty complete; it certainly goes for a majority of players .. maybe in the 90?% range.
the criticism is that we should have other options worthy of consideration.
it's okay to take the troop chest away! just give other options to use the rubies for.

What was that giant sucking sound at 14:00 UTC today? That's right, it was millions of Dominations players hoovering up troop chests! Good job they're not physical, the logistics would have rivaled Santa Claus delivering presents on Christmas eve
