I strongly agree to that! Many exciting games feature regular events like the thread starter mentioned. The advantages should be obvious. Keep players busy especially during the longer and longer getting build/upgrade times.
There should be regularly held bigger events like once a month global war for leading world domination and several smaller events or tournament for alliances as well as for single players as well in which one can participate. The few singler player campaigns are a nice start but defenately do not take advantage of the given potential the game has.
If detailed ideas should be welcomed from BHG's side please let me know. I have figured out a bunch of exciting game ideas regarding this part of the game with my alliance members already but these are partly very detailed and more than just a few sentences, so I think it's understandable to make sure first if it's worth the while writing that all down. Looking forward to any kind of staff feedback.
