When there is much units onscreen, lag can crash the game mid-battle

One of the tactics i'm using frequently during Middle Age is zerging, where I thrown 80 pikeman at someone's base. And I noticed that the game comes to a crawl managing a battle like this.
Yesterday I ran into this bug that killed the app when I was trampling some fellow base. When things started to explode the game gaggety-giggity-gone-goo and closed. Came back to see that the report of the battle as nowhere to be shown, as the troops used, but the loot stolen before the crash was indeed at my stock, so instead of fully fed up and angry, I ended up just mildly annoyed.

My main device to playing this game is a Motorola Moto E first generation, capable of running Clash of Clans with 200+ soldiers onscreen like a breeze and some complex 3d-heavy games with ease. I i'm a middle experienced Android user who knows about overloading the memory of the device with a lot of gadgets and apps running on second plane (wich I keep at minimal), so no, I was not abusing the processing power of the device. I even play the game on airplane mode, because phone calls mid-battle can fakk your attack (game shutting and you losing your army and loot).

I think that the problem is that at the current state, the game is not capable of running much unit IA scripts without becoming a slide show, and I'm just asking to this be streamlined ASAP. For Zordon's sake, I'm just at Medieval, can field around 80 fellas with some reinforcements, and the game hiccups when I fully deploy them. Imagine when I reach Industrial, when the wigs gonna fly with the tanks, artillery and planes zezzling among the infantry?

Please, game devs, take this in consideration.
