It's somewhat random how nexon decides what build if the game you are on. I'm stuck on a rubbish Korean version and seems no way out of it.

Both the International version and the Asia version offer English as the default game language, but only the Asia version offer player the choice of switching to Chinese(Traditional), Korean and Japanese game interface.

Sorry for the long delay. I thought we had addressed this elsewhere, but couldn't find it after looking.

There are some extended requirements around offering Mystery Chests in some countries. The team is working on bringing Marco Polo and his wares to all regions, but I don't currently have an estimate on when he will arrive.

Thanks for replying! However, your explanation doesn't make sense. People in the same country as me get mystery chests when I don't.

The problem is you are basing this on the flawed assumption that the physical location where you first downloaded the game is where you are playing it.

People move!

Also, wouldn't it be fairer to disable Marco Polo for everyone rather than just a few of us? Now we are at a competitive disadvantage to everyone he does merrily sell troop cards too.

Or they could just remove the stupid casino-style chests and go back to knowing exactly what you're getting. I think most players would prefer that regardless of location. The chests have such a low yield of stuff you actually want, it's less valuable than buying directly at higher cost.

Thanks for your( TinSoldier ) clarification on the whereabouts of Marco Polo. I am glad to see our long missed friend, Marco Polo, back on the Asia version this weekend. I hope his appearance on the Asia version is not a one time thing but a regular one, ie weekly. I look forward to seeing him offer Mystery Chests in the near future.

On the other hand, I would appreciate if you can respond to the issue of the inability to search for alliances that are not set to "Clean Language Only" on the Asia version. This issue has yet to be properly addressed, despite being brought up by multiple players, including myself( https://forum.nexonm.com/forum/nexon...ated-unequally ), in the past months.

It looks like that question was answered further down in that thread:

...laws are different in almost every region. In some places, its mandatory that some language is blocked. While we would love to keep things as organic as possible, it does not interfere with finding alliances. To be honest, if an alliance used nothing but profanity in their name, I wouldn't want to join them.

Thanks for your response regarding this matter. However, the response from Nb4Powerup which you quoted is not convincing and it's contradicting to the actual situation on the Asia version.

I made a follow up response to the answer you quoted above further down in that thread:

...The "Clean Language Only" is one of the alliance settings which is only available for players on the international version of DomiNations to change it, and it does not necessarily means the alliances that are not set to "Clean Language Only" use profanity language in their names or messages. In fact majority of the well known alliances that are created and managed by players on the international version are not set to "Clean Language Only", I can easily name a dozen of them if you wished.

Moreover, the use of profanity language within the game and on its official forums is against the Terms of Use of games published by Nexon and its subsidiaries, which the player who violates it will result in being banned for 3 days to up to a year. By default, all in-game messages and players'/alliances' names of the Asia version are subject to censorship for "unclean words" defined by Nexon/BGH. This censorship system on the Asia version overrides the alliance settings and cannot be disabled by players.

It is also untrue that the absence of options for disabling the filter in the search engine "does not interfere with finding alliances", this has been confirmed by DomiNations Asia's Costumer Support.

I am not sure if you have access to the DomiNations Asia app, below is a screenshot of the in-game alliance search engine of DomiNations Asia, which you should be able to spot the difference at first sight: http://imgur.com/a/MUnWO

To illustrate the situation better, below is a screenshot of an attempt to search for the current highest ranking active alliance that is not set to "Clean Language Only", Dutch Warlords®, using the in-game alliance search engine of the Asia version: http://imgur.com/a/LRCmu

Based on the above example(which applies to all other alliances that are not set to "Clean Language Only" ) and the response from CS, unless there are new methods for searching alliances that CS was not able to suggest to me when I enquired about it a few months ago, the inability of disabling the "Clean Language Only" filter of the search engine certainly interferes with finding alliances.

Ironically, players on the Asia version can join, war against and battle against members of alliances that are not set to "Clean Language Only", those alliances even show up in the featured alliances list that appears when one is not in any alliances, but they are unable to be searched through the search engine on the Asia version....

Here's the response for my followup response from Nb4Powerup:
Thanks for the follow up. I'll look into this some more. Dutch Warlords should populate when searched and I don't believe that their name is any where near violating any policy. Give me some time and I'll get back to you.

I don't think we can say that this issue has been properly addressed/answered, as the initial response contradicts with the actual situation and no official representatives had follow-up on this despite the last response from Nb4Powerup 2 months ago mentioning he would look into it and get back to me, as quoted above.

of course it's nonsense, just another example of problem nexon don't know how to handle... You have supercell game Clash Royale, and that game is all about chests!
In that game you only have PvP battle and chest as reward, and noting else...
But supercell programmers find the way to adjst it to china gambling law because it's one of the biggest gaming market.
