• Missing Crowns
    We are aware of an issue in the most recent update where Crowns are disappearing. The missing Crowns are temporary, as we have records of Crown totals before they disappeared. We're currently working on a solution and will update you as more information becomes available.

Where is the center of the map for plane paths after 6.2?

Before 6.2 update alliance gate and embassy showed us the center of the map so predicting/planning plane paths was easy.

But now with:
-those buildings being offset towards the map center,
-additional forest from two sides only,
-not entire map being visible without scrolling it (not enough zoom out),
I find it hard to predict my plane paths.

Any suggestions to help with this?

BTW:
I wouldn't be surprised if they forgot to adjust plane paths for bigger map ;)

I set up friendlies for my regular and war bases to confirm plane paths (especially to the silo) after the update. Since the silo was only slightly nearer to the side that had forests added before the update I was uncertain if that was still going to be the path. In my case it didnt change on either map, so you may be right that they kept the map anchor point set in the same location as before and the new map is now asymmetrical :p may have been the easiest solution to the new map.

Doesn’t the plane attack from the closest edge of the forest to the target you select?
Theoretically, if someone hasn’t cleared any of the new forests then the edge of the forest hasn’t changed at all, and the centre of the base should be exactly what it was before.
Unless the edge of the forest is calculated as the outside edge?

I thought so too but I just did an attack and was using 2 to take out a canon tower and where I thought they were gonna come from was clear and they took the longer route right over a castle

Before the update if you draw an “X”on the map from corner to corner of usable space regardless of whether it has been cleared or not, whatever building you tap within that segment will come from that edge so in the exact center it can come from any side. The center is fixed no matter what forests have been cleared. Since the update I believe that the center has shifted so from what I’ve seen it has been accounted for and all segments are equal not askew.

But planes come from unplayable land so if it isn’t cleared it’s unplayable. They wouldn’t travel across 2 slots of uncleared land they would come from the edge closest to the target

I just dropped 4 planes on the same target and they took different paths in groups of 2

GailWho is right. It was always working this way and I knew about it. Forest or not it doesn't matter. It's calculated from the sides of the map.

I think that the biggest problem now is that before the update we were able to see almost entire base (I used alliance gate and museum to set the center of the map bcs it was easier).

But after the update we can't see it bcs the map is too big. In war we have time to prepare so we can scroll entire map but in multi we use intuition and with bigger map now it's just harder to plan plane paths.

Although I still think its working the old way cause my planes come from wrong direction even when I place them near the corner for easier calculations. I have to take a closer look at this.

EDIT: I tested it and it's not adjusted, planes go the old way.

YES, IT IS ANOTHER BUG - plane paths are not adjusted for bigger map - check this proof on imgur:

Everything is on the picture but to explain it even more ;)

From left side of the new map there are 2 forests and 1 blank space which makes distance of 13 tiles to the left down side of oil well.
From the beach side it is only 8 tiles to the right down side of oil well.
Now remember above video posted by GailWho and the plane should go from beach side because path is shorter from beach side and even more - the new blue map divider clearly shows it.

If the plane paths were adjusted to new map the plane should go from the beach side BUT it goes from the forest side. WHY? Because plane paths are not adjusted for bigger map and they take old map size for calculations, which is yellow corner of the map. From old map border it would be only 7 tiles to the left down side of the oil well and the plane would take path from forest side. And it still does take this path!

So every time I click on left corner of the oil well the plane goes from forest side but if I click on right corner of the oil well the plane will go from beach side and that's exactly how old green map divider divides this building. They forgot to adjust plane paths :(

TinSoldier please report this bug (another) to dev team, thank you.

Mcnasty watch above video and You will understand that planes can go for the same target from different sides. It depends where u clicked it exactly - pixel sensitive. When u click few times in a row those clicks must have been in different positions. That's how it always worked.

But this thread is to make sure that Nexon/BHG adjusted the plane paths to bigger map and below my example clearly shows that they did not :(

I only clicked it once and held down on it so all 4 would attack right away
