Why oil is so scarce in Dominations

This from the Dominations Wiki page:
''After World War I (Industrial Age), the United States lived peacefully and prospered in the Roaring Twenties and as did other countries like the United Kingdom and France. Even though Europe was affected positively by the Roaring Twenties, it was struggling to recover from World War I. In 1929, it all changed when the Stock Exchange crashed triggering the infamous 10-year Great Depression. Poverty increased and the economy was badly damaged. The recession had affected many Western nations and was a step back for recovering for European nations.''

Kinda puts it all into perspective doesn't it? To add realism, Nexon is injecting the real life 1930s economic downturn into the game so we can all experience what our tiny citizens are going through. Makes me feel sorry for all those citizens chopping trees with blunt axes ..... not enough oil to operate the axe sharpening machines ....

There's not enough oil on the game to facilitate the 100,000 or 230,000 upgrades required currently. It's laughable really. That's another issue that's causing many in our old alliance to quit or consider quiting. Our alliance is nearly all Level 130-180. We get ZERO new recruits and have people quiting because of the lack of being able to upgrade anymore. So we have a 14 month old alliance with 30+ players from 130-180 that is dying because of the new changes Nexon has made in the game.

In the higher leagues at least, there was plenty of oil before the oil event allowed everyone to spend the oil they had been saving, then came an event to spend food, and gold can always be spent on wallls, so guess how loot is right now?

Compared to CoC, which has a similar mechanic with dark elixir, oil in this game is gained at 50% of that. The cap per battle is 50%, the oil produced from wells is half that of dark elixir, and the oil rewards from a world war is also half that awarded in CoC. Yes this is not clash, but this game could learn from their success. Double oil rewards and production across the board! It's that bad

the economics are goddamn ridiculous. It's not just oil IMO either. You get so bottle necked the game gets tedious. It's all about real $$$ for them.

I think gold and food is fine. Never have a problem with them. It's just hard netting more than 1000 oil per battle.

The League bonus oil for a win is pitiful too, Kingdom 1 has 77k gold, 77k food, 110 oil. The gold & food is around 1% of what IA mills/markets hold. Oil isn't even 0.1% - should be around 1350 oil League Bonus.

And I'm not sure it's about $$$ either. You don't need to be Einstein to work out even a few hundred dollars gets you nowhere, perhaps we are expected to pay $1000+ for a 3rd rate mobile game? For $1000 you can get a PS4, a 50" 4K TV, a comfy chair and a box of AAA rated games.

Remember, nobody play tested this game until we got our hands on it, which is the main reason it is so unbalanced, especially oil.

My favorite is the 4 million gold library research to give you 20% more oil from oil seeps. That's 20 more oil per day. wooptedoo. What dev thought that was a good idea? Obviously never played the game. Oil seeps should give you at least 500 oil, not 100. It's a once in a day thing, unlike animals.
