Will this game even survive???

I don't think this game is going anywhere until monthly revenues drop to a third of what they are now. Could be next month, could be years from now. But its golden age of player attraction and retention is long past. Hell, this very forum provides an example of that. Posts sit on the main page for days if not weeks that used to be bumped off in hours just a year or two ago. Of course that may well be that folks have realized that hardly anything of value is ever said or posted here. And the moderator either by his own volition or company mandate barely interacts at all and provides only the most canned of responses

Regardless, it's a hell of a lot slower in game these days across all levels. Oddly enough, it's actually what brought me back after my latest 3 month break. In the olden days I had to think strategically about my upgrades and looting, when to do what, so I didn't just paint a big target on myself when i logged off. Now, it doesn't matter, regardless of age. If I don't go to war and need NTG's then I can play as much or as little as I want, the timers are going to be there no matter what. Even if I get flattened I regenerate everything lost during the peace treaty with loot to spare. The game has become far more relaxing, an extremely small-scale version of Sim City, but far less compelling than it once was. Maybe one day I'll walk away for a few months and discover it's no longer around. Or I just pick up again right where I left off. Either way, it was nice while it lasted for the most part.

Anyway, you have much more faith in these developers than I do at this point. But for the sake of you, me and the community in general I hope your optimism is rewarded much more than my cynicism.

Have a good one.

Well yeah, trying to put more trust.
I quit once. Very looooong time. Then came back. It should mean something 😆
You see the game has had a lot of flaws since the beginning, as we could see from the thread. Expect that a few will be long lasting, cheating for example. Just like in other mobile games.
Have I lost interest? No, currently. Playing in stress free alliances and socializing in the community could be my resort 😄

I've lost interest in the sense that I used to play probably an unhealthy amount., but hey, it kept me off the streets. Now it's log in a few times a day to collect resources, donate, shoot the breeze and that's it. I reached this state of self-sufficiency over a year ago but the overly harsh rebalance killed most of my enthusiasm. Not for me, mind you. My accounts are fine in any age when I choose to play them. Yeah, wars suck for the pre-industrial ones now but that's no big deal.

Nah, the rebalance sucked the life out of the game for me because it's way more difficult to see new players become strong veterans now. Perhaps that's an indictment on these newer players or an inability to impart my (limited) wisdom to the newest generation of Dominators, but that's not all. Chat and war paricipation have dropped dramatically in the last year. Probably because most people are looking at 20, 30, 60 minute rebuilds after every single raid now. May as well log off then. Game was a lot more boisterous when people were passing the time as a handful of troops rebuild. Not to mention people could actually make a few tweaks and go from 2 to 4 stars in the blink of an eye. Now it takes months of irritating repetition and who knows, they could do everything right but the opponent has some insane hidden value on their museum. A frustrating 1 star loss looks like a frustrating 1 star loss whether it's by hidden or obvious factors.

Again, perhaps it's just isolated to the crew I run with now but I've done enough traveling to guess that it's not. Helping people to get better was how I whittled the days between upgrades away and that's staggeringly more difficult to do now which just frustrates both mentor and mentee. And that's why I just basically go through the motions these days. My two cents

On my highest accounts I do 3,4 mp per day. Sometimes only twice, using free retrain. Got pretty good loot artifacts so I could care less for raiding chores.
I don't war on those accounts. Even separated them in different alliances.
Then down to accounts below level 200 which are more active. Mp is never a chore for me. Though NTG is a pain in the axe, hence I only focus to war in 1 account, which is below level 200.
Probably depends on each player's playing style.
If we could adapt very well, it would make us last longer.

Not that I never complained about game environment. Yes I hated massive rebalance stages last year (hell nobody ever asked for them 😆) and even though I'm using all factory troops right now, at some point the game was playable with barrack troops in 200-800 medals (thanks to attack helis). There will be more rebalance agenda I believe. Remember AR?! Now people complaining about bastion. Where is this the rejection coming from? The players! Our ideas might not be heard, but some have been heard! Our devs might bring new stuff but at least give it some time to adapt.
Last, my only disappointment is probably bugs. There are rotten bugs that haven't been fixed. Forest clearing, for example, have been occuring since 2017.
I would concern about bugs first, rather than complaining why I suck in the game 😆

Man I don't like to post long replies actually 😪
Hope everyone in this forum can find our way back home to enjoy the game! And if you can't, please don't toxify others here 😜
