World War Change Suggestion

Many people/alliances like the current World War system just the way it is, but the numbers that do not are growing rapidly. There is no question that the wars have become, for very many alliances, a "pay-to-win" (or hack-to-win) system, where "rich" or cheating alliances use maximum numbers of elephant archers to load their strongholds and troop tactics, making it impossible for opponents who don't do the same to compete. That's why the whole 0SH movement started, to attempt to restore an even playing field for wars. Unfortunately, that system has been difficult to administer and maintain for many alliances that like it, so I would like to suggest that Nexon make the following change to the World War system:

When an alliance leader "starts" a world war the first box that pops up, before he even gets to select war members from his alliance, should be a World War Type box, with 2 choices. The first box choice would be "Unlimited World War," which is the current system, unchanged, but the second box choice would be "Limited World War." If Limited World War is selected then no one's stronghold can/will hold or deploy ANY troops of ANY kind, and elephant archers are blocked from being able to be selected for troop tactics by anyone. Then when the system looks for matches for the war it will only search within the preselected category of war types to match alliances according to the type of world war selected. This system would please both groups and allow everyone to enjoy wars the way they want, instead of increasing the growing numbers that are dropping out of wars completely because of what the system has become.

Great idea. Been suggested many times. I'd even go so far as to suggest your unlimited world wars should have significantly higher loot and glory at stake. Whether it's from tripling the current payouts or reducing the payouts of limited world wars or a combination doesn't matter.

Unfortunately, these devs are pretty much tone deaf when it comes to well, almost everything, but certainly war matchmaking. They even teased us by stickying a post on the front page for well over a year and ultimately doing jack squat with any of the hundreds of suggestions. Just saying, keep fighting the good fight, but don't hold your breath expecting a developer or even moderator response to this. Everything's fine according to them apparently.

I don't understand... On the one hand people are complaining about not getting many troop tactics. On the other hand they ask to ban them from World War use. Then what? We should only be able to have them decorating our inventory as artifacts???

Troop tactics are nonsense. Always have been. Being able to pretty much double your deployable troops or have up to 140 extra defenders magically pop up at once by spamming 4 cards has no place in a ''strategy'' game. I'm guessing a lot of people are only asking for more in a mutually assured destruction sense, not out of any great love for them in wars.

If you feel differently, fine. More power to you. But there really should be a place for both mindsets in wars. Of course these devs have made their intentions more than clear about pay-to-win, so just spitballing here.

You'd bet wrong too. Do I keep them cued up for when 140 troops come clown carring out of the stronghold? Absolutely. What do you think mutually assured destruction means? For run of the mill wars they're just a crutch. I really have no interest in going through 12 of them in every war just to shave seconds off a timer. If you do, great. There should be room to accommodate all which is what this post is about.

I both want more troop tactics, to deal with the stupidity that is current wars and time races, and an option to have 0TT wars, where none can be used on offense or defense.

0TT is the higher priority for me, I would love to not need them at all, and then I wouldn't care how many troop tactics we can have. But if they don't do that, and want to pretend the game isn't devolving into straight pay to win, more consistent free troop tactics from marco are needed. Not this 400 rubies for a single marine army nonsense.
