WW system broken?

we are in a WW, against a lvl 12 alliance we are at lvl 10, all of them have a higher lvl than us except number 20, which is not an issue,
‘we are going to lose this WW, but which is unacceptable is we are going to lose 474 Glory Point,
Tim Soldier please could you fine tune what is going on, is the system broken? I mean Glory Point, that is the first time I’m seeing that, a lower lvl team losing more GP than we might win, against again a stronger alliance.

This doesn’t sound like a systems issue. If your alliance has more glory points than your opponent, my understanding is that you will lose more glory points than you would gain. If anything, this sounds like a matchmaking issue.

The level of the other team doesn't matter, it's all about glory. We just fought another alliance that was level 10 and we are level 12 yet we gained 774 from winning that war or we stood to lose 250. The alliance was clearly just a remade alliance of players that pay and usually if you pull up an alliance page and they are invite only they are probably tough. We ended up winning because we tied at 122 stars but we have 99.8% destruction vs 98% destruction. It was awesome. But yet it's not broken, at least not in this aspect.

We are ranked 100 and matched 10. Both have 3 players lvl 295-303 and both used 3 lvl 10-40 then19 other players were on our side averaged 225 those of the opponents 260. in total the opponent had an advantage of 35 lvl for 19 players, we had no chance at all. Why is the matching doing this does it compare sandbags and high lvl or what exactly is happening to get such a mismatch?
