No reason to protect resources anymore

I was quite busy in the museum in past couple of months and now the results are finally paying off. Instead of waiting for the perfect artefact i upgraded the museum storage so currently i have capacity of 30 artefacts which i am rotating. I have couple of sets of artefacts. Each for different task.

Lately i am using combination of artefacts which yields 23 %looted resources refund and i am sitting on nearly 160k of oil every time i am attacked i get at least 1k oil stored in the defense log i can store effectively around 40 -50 k of oil wich cannot be looted (i am losing 6-9k of oil in every attack) however my oil wells and raiding compensate for the loss both boosted with 2 sets of artefacts.
Another 2 sets are boosting the vault capacity and vault intereset every time i withdraw the vault i am getting around 15.5 k of oil.
Mostly i am leaving my base unprotected and always when i get attacked i break the peacy treaty in order to get attacked again so more of the oil will go to the defense tab. Literaly my base is sitting unprotected at 2200 medals range just waiting to be hit (like all you can eat buffet).

the main advantage of having oil in the defence tab is that it cannot be looted and if you are planing on doing an 200k + oil upgrade you only need to raid as far as 150-170k oil and then cash out the missing 50k out of defense log. Not mentioning the bonus crowns you will get if your defenses destroy enemy troops.

It's an interesting approach, but if you adjust your medals, it's possible to just not get hit at all. I'm sitting on 180k oil right now and I haven't been attacked in more than a week. I will say that you taught me something, though. I didn't realize you could expand the number of artifacts I can hold in the museum, outside of upgrading the museum. I just noticed the "+" next to the capacity for the first time. lol. 20 artifacts had been enough for me, but with more, I might have held onto some other ones for specific situations like the one for -11% cost of forest clearing that I tossed out a month or so ago.

Yes i know my medals range where i am attacked very rarely but on the other hand i dont care about not being attacked otherwise i want to be attacked as much as possible it is beneficial for the whole economy the attacker gets the loot i get the refund and everyone is happy and i am really not struggling if i lose 6-9k oil i have it back in around 2-3 raids. I am using 5 HT mk5 4 MBT and 10 infantry + 4 Strike fighter mk6 as air support. (As roman i have 170 unit count) up to about 2100 medals i can get nearly everytime 5 * victory with very little casualties so i am not struggling with NTG or diamonds. As for the food/gold yield is avarage 800k per battle


btw i am free to play only spent for the 2 starter packs with the houses otherwise all my crowns are coming from achievements offers and the video adds

i’ve also been doing this with my alt and the storage in the defense log is really useful

for most people, rss refund would be much better than any armor artifacts

I thought it was just instantly added to your totals not stored for collection.

I am looking through my defence log which includes lots of attacks ranging from 0/5 star to 4/5 and can't see any collection button or refund total.

I have an active artefact that should be giving me 8% refund.

dont you have a collection button for crowns for defending? the rss appear there with the crowns. if you try using a storage blessing you can also see it

Perhaps I should invest in looted resource refund since if I get a high enough bonus, I don’t have to make a farming layout.

Ahh yes, sorry I thought people were referring to an area that stores all refunded loot from artefact bonus. Makes sense now. Good tip about not claiming so it stays there protected until needed.

kosno, if there's no reason to protect resources anymore, what about the people who just like designing tough bases?
Any chance you can convince them to make all their resources available for the rest of us?

That what this topic is all about until then you can as much of mine as you can get as my resources are unprotected all the time. Well the base is still able to kill some troops if you are careless. Nearly every defeat yields bonus crowns

I've done something similar and now my base Looted Resources Refund is 53% which makes it 80% with the blessing; I have two artifacts with three 6-15% refund bonus and one 11-20% bonus so it will (eventually) cap at 65%. I'm thinking about changing my civ to Korea to compound that with their 10% bonus which would cap at 75% and refund 102% (probably just 100%) with the storage blessing. I'm also considering changing my taj mahal to the temple of tikal to add 4% on top of that since I don't raid so much anymore and only really use mercenaries during wars but that 4% just seems kind trivial (69% base w/out korea, 79% with, 96% with blessing and no korea and over 100% still with). If I didn't need supplies to upgrade a couple more artifacts (and I like the extra citizen) I would switch my opera house for the united nations.

Hey! For the past few days, I've had a 9% looted resource refund on my museum and got attacked a few times. One defense only rewarded me with 3 crowns, not 9% of the resource loot they stole (gold/food/oil).

Are there instances where the game doesn't properly refund us in our defense log after being attacked??? Bug??? Or do your defenses have to kill a certain amount of enemy troops? I've never seen resources in my defense log.

Today, I just got a legendary artifact that boosts up my looted resource refund to 55% , so will the higher % help me be more frequent rewarded? Help.
