Age difference is a hoax.. The iron age test base is encountering enlightment and industrial even...

loonies got that high in medals, not by sweeping other bronze or iron age bases in the 3000 medal range.

Indeed, my medieval base seen it's fare share of industrial and enlightened bases
When it was in classical age I was also able to attack enlightenment, I wonder though, would they be able to use revenge button?

For me the 1 age difference has always been consistent since They reduced it from 2 some months ago.

- Gunpowder and Enlightenment Age players no longer match up with players who are more than 1 Age difference than them. No more Gunpowder troops storming through Classical villages!

If you read it well, the age difference limit is for gunpowder age and above. So gunpowder age attacker cannot be matched with classical age defender. But classical age attacker can be matched against gunpowder age and higher defender. Whether they can get a win is a separate issue and that's probably why there is no cap upward. So it seems any age medieval and below attacker can be matched against any other age defender, which seems to be confirmed by most replies here.

Regarding the medal range, I would say empirically something like 900 to 1000 max medal difference.

Coming back to the medal system i now face some interesting challenge to climb the ranking. I spend roughly 1h per day on that game and I win medal 1at the time. But I get attacked 3 times per day losing up to 10-15 medals each time. Hence, i find myself somehow blocked to 2,250 medals. I don't see other fix than playing more, what i'm probably not inclined to do. any other advice?

Same as me then. Just make slow and steady progress, I've got to 2700 - when I've got 8,10,12 day upgrades going on, I keep nexting trying to find a big medal base and go all in to get max win %. Don't need the gold.

Or get a job that allows you to play longer, like truck driver or air traffic controller.

Or dare I say... crown your instant army for 1 hour. Eeek.

I'm pretty sure the +1/-39 is here to stay (though we're all fighting for changes). Since you're asking, I'd suggest one improvement for you. You can do better on defense. There are ways to get your average medal loss per battle down.

I am still of the opinion that this matching criteria is seriously flawed. It is extremely frustrating to get the 'no opponent found' for extended duration. Is there really only a few hundred or thousand players? Wasn't there millions that downloaded the game globally? Does the game seriously have a player retention issue to only have a few thousand players?

Millions of players all logged in searching for opponents. When they log off they are attacked immediately. With a 1 min window between being logged on and being in peace treaty where u can attack them

So millions of players all clamoring to attack the little windows of opportunity. When ur at the top of the pyramid yeah that means no opponents

Yes I think most people on the forum are pretty advanced compared to the normal crowd. You should read the Dominations Facebook posts and see that the millions you are competing against are clueless about how to play the game. So in reality, if you are a little bit smarter than the average, you'd be roughly competing against 500 people for a spot on the leaderboard.
