A fix for many of our issues

Im not sure if ive seen anyone post something similar, but the thought just popped into my head.

A lot of the recent complaints, and one of the biggest complaints against the missile silo is the fact that it is so hard to 5 star bases to obtain NTG.

another issue is having to keep workers for farming/hunting to use on mercs.

so what could solve both of these issues?

Allow us to buy mercs and coalitions with food/gold/oil or with NTG/TG.

So with Coalitions, keep the NTG cost, but also allow us to use gold+food+oil to buy them if we dont have the ntg.

Level 6 Coalitions require 8 NTG of a type using 2 types.

Make the food+gold+oil cost be #NTG * 25000 food and gold and then #ntg * 15 oil. So to buy a level 6 coalition it would cost you 200k Food + 200k Gold + 120 Oil.

For the Mercs, make the cost 100 oil per diamond needed and 50k food and 50k oil per Cider/Fur/Metal/Leather needed. so a flamepanzer that requires 7 cider and 2 diamonds would cost you 350k food and 350k gold and 200 oil.

I doubt Nexon would go for it, and personally I think the idea of paying to rearm the silo would work better. After all, we already need to rearm the bunker, and it makes no sense that shooting a bunch of rockets per battle costs less than deploying a couple tanks. Rockets are extremely expensive in real life, but apparently free in this game.

This isnt just a silo fix. Many complaints about ntg and hunting/gathering prior to the silo. Which is why they started adding more ways to help with the grind. Yet people still wouldn't be upgrading the coalitions because the grind was still too much.

and yes i know nexon wont do this, they dont want to fix their game. They want to make the grind exponentially worse and eventually push everyone away from this game so they can move on to their next project. Which is also why i doubt we will ever see any good changes for generals, troop training time, etc.

Well, they clearly realize that there is a problem with oil requirements, otherwise they wouldn't be doing so many 50% discounts on oil upgrades that are becoming more and more common. Heck, look at the most recent event, Henry the Navigator from 14th century offering discounts on airplanes - definitely a stretch. I'm starting to think that the oil requirements were intentionally set too high to lure impatient people into paying, while giving the rest of us an opportunity to feel like we're making progress too, although with much slower pace. Unfortunately in Atomic I'm no longer able to even keep up with these discounts because everything takes 2 weeks to upgrade.

As far as NTGs, I took the approach of not maxing them. After my coalitions started costing 6 of each NTG, I realized this wasn't going to scale anymore. And I don't care how big of a discount Nexon gives me on researching them, they make even less sense to upgrade than the Vault.

Moctezuma capstone definitely helps the NTG issue, but you gotta get 5-stars for it to really kick in. Getting multiple 5-stars in an hour at higher medals is very difficult after the missile silo introduction. Since NTGs, diamonds, and surviving troops are tied to 5-star battles, the MS basically killed the game economy.

I disagree. If they clearly realized it, they would reduce/remove a lot of the oil costs in the game. We dont even have an oil cost reduction and oil worker reduction for the university like we do gold/food.

But this thread is about reducing the need to have to 5 star players.

Sorry for getting off-topic. But look at it this way. There are plenty of things in real life with MSRP tag that's only meant to make it look like you're getting a good deal or for those who want the product ASAP and the real, feel-good price the rest of us pay. In my opinion, the oil prices in this game are just that, MSRP, the real prices we pay are the discount event prices. And don't tell me you paid full-price for most of your upgrades, you know you didn't.

Youre right, nearly every oil upgrade i do is at the discount. I only do full price upgrades when i get an abundance of oil. But with the time it takes to upgrade things, for instance this week. im only going to be able to upgrade my fighters 2x. So it will take me 8-12 more discount periods for fighters to be able to actually upgrade them, assuming i didnt pay full price for any of the levels. But even at 50% off, the prices are still 2x as much as it would take in CoC.

I don't think it does. Since i got the silo (over one week now) i haven't been attacked at all. Few medal droppers a day and that's it. I don't need to rearm my silo.

I normally think most of the complaining and "solutions" posted here are silly, but I actually like this one.
