About transporters and recons

Even though my transport have 16k hp which is 6k more than my recon ( which is 10k) I noticed that mu transporters always take more damage even if it just following the recon.. is this by design? Is recon simply more faster or have damage reduction or something? Just trying to understand.

How do you know the exact amount of damage? You can only see the reduction based on the blue bar, that’s not really exactly. From which building is the damage? GCI having splash damage, tho ofc it might be that one airstrip unit takes less by being faster. Air defense are targeting the nearest unit, tho another reason why your transports are taking probably more damage.

If your judgement is based on replays it isn’t worth thinking about the difference.

Oh i send the recon, then i send the transporter, this is on bases already used its traps , just speaking air defense and towers here, transporters take 50% more damage than the recon , recon lose like 25% of its hp while transporters lose around 50% from same towers and air defenses..

It is probably a combination of Recons flying faster (and thus being exposed to fewer shots) and being stealthed for their first run in the battle, if you have done the relevant library research for that.
