The description for cavs say that they distract defenses while other units do the damage. People are focusing too much on them being a 'do it all' kind of unit, when they're really only suppose to soak up damage like tanks. Adjust you strategy. Your just used to overrunning bases with a unit that is really supposed to be used a distraction to soak up damage. The balance update was probably necessary for the Industrial age.

The problem is the broken AI.....lets try that again....the battle AI is broken....or said a different way....the AI doesnt work. Cavalry being op helped compensate for broken AI. Now that cav are balanced the broken AI comes into focus

BTW, that distraction is also bugged. It was multiple times when HC was near defensive mortair, but it still were shooting at my far away cannons/archers. But the fun is in variety and not what was written. we had a unit which could break walls in groups, now we don't. You could use two of them for distraction or 6 - 8 as a main striking force or even full spam for weaker bases or rush. Right after thefirst buff they had perfect dps vs walls, so even other nations could use HC-based armies. They should go with HP reduction or towers buff, instead these dps nerfs.

May be a lot of you haven't realized yet how bad oil units nerf was, because a lot of you weren't using them. Guerrillas, one of the best units out there, dies very often, almost suicide one and you need two for them to be efficient... So built times from 10 mins it became 20. Just imagine twice longer HC time builds. May be they nerfed HC, so you miss more important nerf ? ))) Christopher you're happy about it too? Or you just didn't have those units yet?

Aussie guy. You are moron. What does my number of posts have to do with anything. I browse this forum frequently and decided to speak up because I was tired of you cry babies complaining. If you don't like the games implementation, then post it to CS in the game. Whining on these forums will not amount to much of anything. Has anything changed based on your complaints on this forum? I have submitted multiple requests to CS for cheaters etc and ALL of my issues have been resolved. I was even refunded 9 medals that I lost from cheater. The bottom line is you want this game to work like YOU think it should work. Dominations has plenty of issues that need to be resolved and I'm sure that will happen, but complaining on these forums about how you cant overrun a base because HC was nerfed is your issue. Learn how to build your army and use war tactics and you will be successful. In the mean time go outside and get some sun. You troll these forums too much.

Totally agree. While this fool is correct about HC's in game description, that is not their real role. HC are what destroy defenses. What the hell else is going to efficiently do that pre EA?! Foot?! Lol please, maybe if you're Rome....oh wait...most everybody is ( lol variety! ) ballista/bombards? They are the only other option yes, not nearly as efficient with the current AI, tho. No. HC was the best option to take out defenses in an effort to minimize troop losses. Now, good luck even defeating defenses on rushed players in the age below you. Defense, once again made overpowered in one swift nerf. I haven't even been attacked ONCE since the update (maxed medieval) and I have full markets waiting for gunpowder upgrade. No one is going to attack me, There is no legitimate way to defeat maxed walls in each age now. Efficiently

Actually Aussie has pointed out very good various of problems of the game, im thankful that hes putting effort in trying to get the problems "heard" and think that he deservers respect for taking hes time to doing that.
All though you do have a good point, its true that the HC is only used as a tank to withstand damage and distract the defensive units, if you ask me it was pretty stupid that a whole HC could whipe out a whole base. The Gatlin nerf is decent since they reduced the troop space to 4 which compensates the nerf and makes them more useful then they were before, can use 2 gatlins instead of 1 lol. Increasing the time for making the guerillas and gatlins is annoying tho.

You know nothing how it worked here before. Forum did a lot of help. I am more than sure you are heavy paying arrogant player which can literally do nothing with unbuffed army, not even 5 starring good GP base

Heavy cavalry were the main battle tanks of the middle ages.

Would any here argue that the M1-A1 Abrams tank shouldn't have that 135mm turret, cause it causes too much damage to our enemies? That maybe it just needs a heavy machine gun, since the M1-A1 was really just mean to 'distract defenses' so to allow our infantry to do the *real* damage?

I'd hazard that the first and second Gulf wars should disprove that line of reasoning.
