Allow alliances to donate gold, food, oil, and trade goods.

I'd quite like that myself. If you can donate troops why not resources and goods.

@Lord Adahn, most likely the reason is because if alliances could exchange these goods then players would purchase less crowns because they wouldn't need it with the help of their alliance.

Being able to swap trade goods on a 1:1 ratio would be great and make a lot of sense.

Allowing this would result in 'cheaters' that will spam accounts to donate fund main account which negates the need to attack for loot.

The thing is, though, donations adds to the idea of Alliance. Players who are working together often have more commitment to a game imo. Donations *might* lower crowns purchase for that particular need, but it stands to reason if you've got committed players, purchases overall will increase.
