Alliance points

Hey there everybody, I am new to this awesome game and I'm enjoying it a lot. Looking forward to all the improvements and hopefully, soon to come, ally wars. My question: alliances get alliance points. How do you get alliance points? I understand that you get them by attacking, but how exactly does this work? Thanks in advance

As I understand it, alliance is made up of percentage of medals. (Not confirmed by Devs) Here's the breakdown; Top 1-10 in the alliance count 50% of their medals 11-20 25% 21-30 12% 31-40 10% 41-50 3% The game calculates the number of medals contributed per player and rounds down any decimal. So if you're the 14th ranked player in your alliance with 1167 medals, you contribute (1167*.25=291.75) 291 to your alliance score.

Now that's a theory I'd never come up with. I thought maybe the amount of medals earned and then it decreases by a percentage over a period of a weak or so. But as I totally don't know, your theory sounds interesting. How did you come up with it?

It's how the clan points in Clash of Clans work...i am no mathematician haha but after using same process to work out my alliance points, it was a close fit
