KniferX , l get what you're saying but there's a flaw in your reasoning.
People who willingly pay for some kind of lottery take their chances and have themselves to blame, but they've PAID for something and have a right to feel cheated.
People complaining about Nexon's gifts got these prizes for FREE. Rubies are virtual currency, no money changed hands, nobody is out of pocket.
If someone willingly used crowns for a chest then they have no right to complain either but l can understand that.
The ones who used rubies then complain are like children. These people probably also complain at christmas if they get a gift they dont like.

If you are somehow against this just consider this scenario:
A chest containing a building as an option is sold for 400 crowns. The odds are unknown so everyone who looks at the chest and sees the building they want consider buying the chest expecting the possibility of that building being in the chest. Now consider that Nexon is forced to reveal the odds, and the odds to win that building are 1/15000. Do you think anyone would still pay 400 crowns to buy that chest? This would force nexon to make the odds better for the consumer in order to sell more chests. An informed consumer is a happy consumer.

There's nothing wrong with happy customers.
In the spirit of christmas I'm going to retract my previous commentary and wait to see what happens if/when Nexon makes these changes. If people continue to complain after knowing the odds THEN I'll really speak my mind!
The people who complain while using virtual currency like rubies will get my best material!

there is only 1 type of chest that costs rubies and theres not much to complain there because you get at least 1 of everything.

all the other chests cost crowns and people PAY for those.

Displaying the odds isn’t the same as playing the odds. You still need to purchase a great number of boxes to verify that the posted odds are in play. For lottery tickets, independent auditors do this ... there’s no similar oversight for in-game activities. Posting of odds is a fig leaf for players with too much faith in BHG/Nexon.

No Manifesto, no one was mentioning the free boxes, the discussion was obviously about the boxes that you have to pay real money for, and that allure (admittedly naive) players to pay up.

This game isn't as bad at it, and I believe anyone with an iota of rational thinking isn't buying heaps and droves of them, because they aren't very important in the total scheme of things and a lot of the game is outside of that system (it still brings down the experience and I had played the game before it was implemented).

But recently you have major publishers and games like the new SW:BF2 and some other games that lock their entire progression system behind lootboxes. As far as we know DomiNations can just switch the entire system up to put powerful units and buildings in loot boxes exclusively, if they find they will get more money that way.

Dont pay or use precious Crowns for something that isnt guarenteed. Simple answer! If people stopped doing it then they would have to stop their stupids antics. The game is becoming a joke! Cut off their £€¥$ supply and then, and only then will they start to listen and respond.

Yes SiuYin... I agree and would like them to rather than do more paytowin elements to make up the defecit educate them to the underlying issues of their lost revenue. Hopefully more people will get involved to help guide them into a positive change/back track in their direction to include and appease the masses ;-)
