Hey here is my suggestions regarding balance:



Wall Miners vs. Walls

wall miners need reduced damage b/c the fact that a top upgraded wall miner can destroy a top upgraded wall section defeats the purpose of upgrading walls.

Castle

The heroes are worthless since they disappear after one battle and have a cooldown of like 8 hours. They would be more effective and useful if they stayed alive until killed.

Nation bonuses

Some are vastful superior to others in the long run. This is a problem. I am the Greeks and they rock at the beginning but they suck near endgame. The best nation in the long run has continual benefits like the Japanese. The Greeks are only valueable to the extent they save you some gold and time upfront but it kind of sucks. This is just an example. Make the nation bonuses change over time to adapt to each age. The fact is I feel stuck as the Greeks and I hate it because I do not have the same advantages that an offensive of defensive nation has toward endgame.

War Tactics

They need to be reduced. The fact that a top player can use four and take out two of my cannons before they start attacking really undermines my ability to defend myself. They are just either too powerful or players are allowed too many of them per turn. I know they are expensive and time consuming to make but they are kind of a lazy strategy mechanic as implemented.

Wall Amounts

I like the walls and their different appearances but I feel like this game is kind of stingy with how many walls you can have.

Unit Upgrade Times and Cost

the costs are just crazy. The problem I have in general with this game is that costs are just out of control. Without crowns, leveling up is a day job seriously because you have to stay logged in to gather the millions of gold and food needed to afford one unit upgrade. In addition, the upgrade time is ok but I could see the ages going down the line of taking way to long to upgrade. Right now top tier units are 4 days each. Its only a problem when it becomes multiple weeks per unit

Building Upgrades

Same problem with buildings and cost. This game needs to reduce the cost of buildings slightly or increase the amount you can steal per fight to accommodate the increased cost. I want to play this game but I do not want to spend all day raiding to get one unit upgrade.

Wonders

Some are better than others. The fact that you are stuck with your choice is fine in my opinion because that makes a player unique but you need to rethink their bonuses. For instance, hanging gardens....come on. At higher levels, it is a worthless wonder because the amount of costs for upgrades is so high. Give us more meaningful bonuses. Taj Mahal is a great wonder but I think it would be better if as you go up ages its radius of effect increases. That is what I mean for meaningful wonder bonuses.

Troop training time

please reduce for cannons and the like because it does take close to an hour to train 120 units when you mix in cannons.

Roads

they suck as they are. Even when you connect them they produce a very small amount of gold compared to what you need to upgrade anything at higher levels. In reality, they just take up a lot of space in the enlightenment period.
