Like any other successful game, patches for buffs and nerfs are bread and butter. The efforts Nexon has put in to pump out new content via age/events/units are very exciting, but at the same time the not much attention has been put into balancing the core of the game such as nations and certain building interactions.
Here an attempt at a balance patch.

Nations:
Greek - Hellenic Architecture
  • Building time reduced by 10%
  • blessings last 50% longer / has two more charges.
  • Buildings health increased by 25%
Japanese - Rising Sun
  • Length of peace treaty increased by 25%
  • Farm and caravan production doubled while under the effect of peace treaty
  • Town center range +1, and also attacks aircraft (Damage is equal to the higher level tower (bonuses included)),
  • +1 Sniper tower capacity, free to build (stats equal to highest level sniper tower)
Chinese - Ancient Dynasty
  • +1 maximum workers
  • +1 mercenary capacity
  • Forests require one less worker to chop.
Germans - Steel and Oil
  • Factory troops damage +5%
  • Factory troops build time -20%
  • Decrease rally cooldown by 5 seconds
  • Increase rally duration by 100%
  • Gain 15% damage buff upon a multiplayer victory
Romans - Everlasting Conquest
  • Nation Bonus: 15% increased army size,
  • Walls and Gates require 0 workers to build and upgrade.
French - Strength in Unity
  • Reduces the time it takes to train an army by 20%.
  • +6 to alliance gate capacity
  • Alliance gate troops gain 10% increased attack and hp
Koreans - Hall of Worthies
  • An additional war tactic can be brought into battle.
  • Refunds 10% of loot stolen by other players
  • Tactics are 10% more effective
Buildings
Redoubt: Damage against aircraft increased by 200%, while firing, redoubt towers now increases their damage over time. The longer the redoubt fires, the more damage it does. (Max 150%)

Roads: Defending troops move faster on road (10% movement speed increase)

Castles: Increase general trigger range by 1 (equal to pentagon)

Units:
Destroyers: Now costs 8 troops space (down from 10)
Gatling gun: Will no longer target walls and gates.
Mortar troop: Projectile speed increased by 400%(?)
Attack Helicopter: Now costs 6 troops space (down from 6)

Blessings
Loot Blessing: Also grants 2 additional national trade goods of the type that you have the least of upon earning at least one victory star (regardless of target), loot blessing now comes in your drop bar and will only activate when deployed in the battle, this way players can drop it before the attack ends and it will feel more rewarding.

QOL changes:
  • Change (or remove) the sound effect of citizens hunting animals past the enlightenment age
  • The graphic of league reward ship is based on your league (or docks level, whichever is higher)

I don't see why Chinese should have a one less worker to cut forests buff, no worker needed to build walls for Romans doesn't make sense, and I don't think decreased damade and 2 times rate of fire for English archers is necessary

  • More incentive to use Chinese, Chinese nation is non existent at high levels (browse the top 100 alliances and you will see)
no worker needed to build walls for Romans doesn't make sense
  • More incentive to use Romans, solely having 10% army size is underwhelming
I don't think decreased damade and 2 times rate of fire for English archers is necessary
  • Based on what? British archers are overpowered in the meta because they can shoot through walls, outrange most defensive structures, and eliminate defenders even when spread out. Educate yourself on the meta here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rU8f_zPgvM
