Balistas

What do I do against these? I am currently in the iron age and have finally begun to use my Horsemen and they are so great. But the thing is, with the horrible nation matching system, all I can find is players with balistas in the classical age and I know that those are Horsemen's weakness. What do I use against them? How do I avoid them? What can I do? Pls help, thx.

I swamped them with cavalry.

Cavs are highly vulnerable to balistas towers, I try to use infantry to destroy them. If you send 5, one will be dead and 4 will destroy it.

That's my whole problem, as of yet I can only use 5 Horsemen (waiting on barracks upgrade to finish) so I can def not swamp then with cavalry.

Are you sure? Are balistas really powerful against soldiers? Like my Bushi (I'm in Japanese) or the composite bowmen

Cav swamp IS effective against Ballista. You might lose one but that is usually an except able loss. When a base has ballista, you can use a rally command and draw all of them at once on the ballista. They will destroy it fast enough to prevent it from doing to much damage.

Later on you can use the Sabotage tactic.
