Banned in mainland China????

I've played this game for about 8 months now in mainland China, and beginning about 2 weeks ago, I can not connect to the servers or play without first being connected to a VPN server outside of China. Are there any other English speaking players living in China who have encountered this issue recently, or if nothing else, does anybody have an idea as to how I might rectify it, as VPNs are somewhat ineffective in China due to the whole great firewall thing. Thanks in advance, from a first time poster, but long time player.

We have an English speaker in mainland China playing with us. He hasn't had any problems.


Have you tried resetting the network settings on your device? On iOS, it's under settings>>general>>reset>>reset network settings

I've had problems with other apps not working on my home wifi, but working on cellular or VPN just fine. Resetting network settings fixed the problem. Note: you'll lose all your wifi passwords if you try this.

Id find it hard to believe China would ban the game. Theres so many Chinese players in Dominations now.

Yes, I reset my network settings, but to no avail. All other IOS games work, have worked for years, this is the first game, first time this has ever happened. Still playing, just using a VPN now.

From what I understand, almost all of the "Chinese" players that I've come across, including those in my alliance, are in Taiwan, not mainland China. I cant access the game from any device, any account, cellular, or wifi, without a VPN. It would be interesting to speak to some other folks in the mainland to see...
