What should I change about it? What are the weak points (other than half of my defense being outside of walls due to wall shortage)? Also, I'm really confused on any my gold gets thrown around all over my town rather than stay in my market? What is the point of upgrading my walls so much so that I could protect my find only for it to be so easily stolen by being spread around? What sense does that make? Please explain so that I'm not confused. Sorry if bad quality.

hey the gold that you see lying on the road is the gold which is generated by the road there is no way you can protect it from raiders

no its not from your market if you check the info tab on roads it tells you how much gold it produces in an hour , the production rate depends on the number of buildings which are connected to your TC.The gold is generated by the road itself and is not from your market

Those are from your Caravans. When your base is scouted, your Caravans roam around your roads. The moment the opponent lands his 1st troop, all the Caravans will run away and drop a pile of gold at the their last position.

You can also use this knowledge to your raiding advantage. When you want to raid a base with high gold, make sure you don't rush in. Wait for a while for the Caravans to go out of the walls and then land your 1st troop.

I would put the walled portion in the middle of your base and surround the walls with farms and some defenses. It slows down th eneemy some and your defenses inside the walls can pick off enemy troops why they waste their time on other stuff before getting to the core

You're at Classical, yes? I would recommend a layout of mine that i call "the Merry-go-round".

First of all, get a Artillery tower ASAP. Then place your catapult at the middle, wall it up completely and distribute your towers along your mills and markets around it, while your town center sits outside, with your other buildings and roads going around this configuration.

  • The Blue C is your Catapult.
  • The blue Gs are Garrisons.
  • The Blue Ts are Towers (one of them must be Artillery or researched).
  • The blue S is the Stable.
  • The Red Fs are Mills.
  • The Yellow Gs are Markets.
  • The Grey lines are walls and gates.

I suggest putting the walls and defenses in the middle of the base surrounded by other buildings, so you have to go through other buildings to get to the walls. Also you need to build a ballista tower. With the new cavalry buff I will Attack any base without a ballista tower, because those are the only things that can do any noticeable damage to knights.

Actually, my balista has been building since yesterday and should be really within 2 hours. I just won't know where to place it? But I'll consider putting my walls in the middle with everything else around it, it's just that the "open window" layout which is a modified version of the image I put up takes a lot of space from the left and right so technically I can't really put any things to the wide of those walls, only by the top and bottom. And I don't feel like changing the "open window" layout, because it's like "Haha, fool, you have to go through 6 different walls to take my resources and kill my defense. Take that."

This is an interesting design. I just don't think I have enough walls for it but I'll give it a go when I do. I'd also like to add that my Peace Treaty expired at 9 am today, I left for several hours and it is now 3:30 pm and I have not been attacked at all in these 6 hours so feeling pretty good right now. Last guy that attacked me only got 1 star. But he sucked though. Horrible battle strategy and troops.

I also have a lot of resources in both gold and food, people could probably take 50k of each. So if they haven't, it's probably that my medal count is literally at 200.

Is your player name Atska? Because I always check my logs for revenge purposes and I haven't seen you. Unless you're under a different name. I did however see a base yesterday that looked similar in shape to mine, as long as mine really, but the buildings and wall layout were completely different to mine. It may have been that one you attacked.

I see 2 weaknesses: 1 - ranged attack launched from the left side directed at the mills & markets and 2 - a horde of horse riders using "attack" to focus and take down that single piece of wall between the 2 resource blocks then they march in to quickly take down both markets & mills

You can do less-walled version where the internal compartments are not separated. But it's vital to wall up the catapult. In this design the enemy always try to rush for the catapult or the ballista tower, but his troops is always on range of the towers and have all your garrison men pestering them.

The enemy can break inside, but cannot make much damage to your stuff unless the enemy troop tech outgun your defenses. If you spread your traps wisely around it, you can make a cavalry rush a bitter failure.
