Hi everyone,
It seems pretty safe to say that 2-4 bombard/cannons and a supply cart/wagon and about 10-30 archers/riflemen is how to destroy the most difficult bases. The toughest decision for me is whether to bring some cavalry, no cavalry, tons of guards, more riflemen, etc. As a Roman I'm currently running with no cavalry and a bunch of guards and it works decently for raiding but struggles when they bunch up after breaking a wall. I tried cavalry too but they get 2shot by ballastic towers when I send them to take care of catapults.
So my question: I am leaning towards making a heavy guard/melee army because it's the Roman special unit. Should I do this, should I add a few cavalry, should I be using mostly cavalry, or should I say forget the melee and load up on more riflemen?
I know there isn't necessarily a correct way, but any advice to taking out those tougher bases would be super!
Thanks,
MasterMike
