The biggest problem with the game today is:

It's a mixture of Rebalance and P2W TT and Artifacts.

Cheaters/hackers by far. All other issues are relevant too, but the fact that the designer is not taking any action against well known cheaters for so long is mind boggling.
That issue alone is responsible for many players not spending, leaving or reducing play time as a result of withdrawing from wars.

pay to win and rebalance kinda ties in together because their balancing goal is for battles where the attacker uses mercenaries and generals and all their tactics and 4 troop cards, every battle.

Rebalancing, gives us a hard time but if everybody plays fair we all have a hard time. Unfortunately that's not the case and some gain huge benefits by cheating and not correct in a way I would like to see it. So cheating is my number 1

While I hate cheaters as much as the next person, a cheater attacking your base affects you that one time, you get over it and can move on.
The dog’s breakfast that is the ‘rebalance’ affects everyone all the time.

The problem is the game puckers up and sucks a big cornhole now. The unbalance ruins the fun. The pay to win ruins the strategy. The cheating (made worse by people not enjoying the unbalance and not caring “IF” they get banned) ruins the fun for the pay to win turds. The gambling nonsense pisses off anyone with a moral compass. And the worst part of all is the nightmares caused by the twitch feed. A duck dynasty reject, a guy with a dyed 3 musketeers pointy moustach and goatee, and the guy from the goonies. I haven’t slept in a week. Those faces haunt me every time I close my eyes.

Someone else (can't remember who, sorry) put it well. Your success in this game used to be almost purely progress-based. With the museum and there is now too big an element of luck.

Can't argue that. Seen plenty of teammates leaving the game as well as folks across multiple alliances. Players are dropping like flies!!!
