Mongols coalition is a problem.

Hello,

The mongols coalition is a problem, mortars and artillery are the only troops that can benefit from two attack coalitions at the same time, making ineffective any other troop choice and having every body choose the same troops.

I propose one solution, create a replacement (that has the same level as the players current mongols level) that buffs attack speed of one troop of your choice when you select it. So when you take the new "mongols" coalition a popup asks you what troop you want to be the beneficiary of the attack speed bonus. The tactics damage would remain the same.

I think it's a possible solution, if you want to have your mortars have the benefit no problem, but if you like your heavy tanks more select them and enjoy another optimal troop choice.

the problem is not the mongols, the problem is the overpowered superstar mortar troops...

When you have two and only two troops that can be affected twice by an attacking coalition that's a problem, because using those troops its the only optimal combination and the best. Base layout does not mean anything, it would happen with any other troop that was boosted twice by a coalition.

What i'm trying to say is that mongols forces the mayority of players to use mortars ane artillery, and that's not good for the players and the game.

I think that my original idea of mongols boosting attack of one unit of your choice is also a bad idea, it should be something different.

Out of curiosity what ages - compared to yours - are these overpowered mortar troops?
If they're several upgrades above you then there might not be anything you can do about it. If not then you need to rethink your base design as mortars are not all-powerful.

Do you think air defense which is boosted by Egyptians and Russians is also problematic?

You can’t say nerf anything offense on this game. So don’t bother. But mongols and mortor can be defended. Big problem being defender is stupid seasonal boast on both sides d and o.
