Mortars have too much advantage over other units, this makes the game boring:

t's not normal that this unit benefits from 3 categories to make them efficient. To date it benefits from the percentages of infantry mortars, that of barracks units and that of siege units.

Assessment to date with the museum's boost and advice :

- Boost on Mortar —> 336%

- Boost on Barracks Unit — > 32%

- Boost on Siege Unit —> 259%



As the 259% of siege units also applies to Infantry Mortars, this unbalances the choice of troops to choose. 90% of attackers opt for an Infantry Mortar/Artillery composition, and 90% of defensive bases neutralize this composition. The games lose their appeal, no more surprises and strategy.

In addition, the speed factor with the Mongol coalition and the percentages obtained with ammunition reach 87%, infantry and artillery mortars are machine guns. Unfortunately to this day there are no troops among the defenders to do them any harm, because of their range and speed.



I first propose removing the bonuses from Siege Units on infantry mortars. This will put the other units on an equal footing. All units will have roughly the same boost percentage. Players will be free to choose their composition for the wars.

Let the Mongols coalition only focus on artillery, so that the defenders have a chance to defend against a troop of infantry mortars.

Relaunch of the strategy whether on the offensive or defensive side.

i second that! a mortar unit is even stronger than a heavy tank! it is completely ridiculous...

I dont understand the following:

- how did you came up with those percentages?
- mortars benefit from mortar and barracks lines. They dont get any benefit from other lines from museum/council. what do you mean by "boost on siege unit"

Well you can complain all you want about anything offense being over powered. It will do zero good. All the offense players will freak out if anything is nerfed or slightly viewed removing their advantage.

It will ruin game is all you will hear. Why cause they have to look cool in boring time wars. Hate to inform you of this but it’s true. They will never even the odds up and make defense possible of actually defending.

All they've been doing recently is nerfing offense and buffing defense. The only thing that remains for the attackers is mortar/fighter setup. They already nerfed AH and made HT attackers watch them in the bastions. Nobody actually wanted to use mortars, the problem is that other options are nonexistant.

Actually most top attackers have switched to fighter and Ah with the new munition.

I KNOW RIGHT!? finally someone not from hive mind. more than 90percent of the attackers use several artillery, the rest is mortars and now probably because of the season they use bombers instead of paratroopers lol back in the day almost nobody used mortars it was usually 10 artillery while the rest is brit rifle or 5-6 heavy tanks or bazooka and guerillas standard 3 common strategies lol

Maybe the answer would be a trap to answer the mortar menace? In real battle, we have auto spotter systems that detect where a mortar was launched from and responds with an explosive in kind. If a mortar’s shell or artillery travels over the trap, it could respond with an explosive powerful enough to eliminate the group.

In a game against any means of attack, there must be a means of defense to neutralize it and defeat it. So that the battle does not turn out to be boring, when several heavy tanks (or many weapons of the same type), for example, destroy the entire city without any support (with another types weapons). Any army of the same type must have a vulnerability (multiplied by each unit of the same type of this army). This will at least force players to at least somehow diversify their troops, and make the battles more varied and interesting.
