Blacksmith confusing stuff (I need help)

Hello everyone .I upgraded black smith to level 8 they said we will unlock new stuff like tanks on upgrading to lvl 8 But still i cant see tanks .I can see only stuff like lance upgrading.mortar upgrading ? where is new stuff ! I'm using chinese revolution !

you have to upgrade your heavy cavalry enough for them to turn into tanks. If you haven't upgraded them, you won't see the tank upgrade.

Seems strange that you are asking this question if you manage to get lvl 8 black smith unless i am missing something.

A snapshot would be great of what you have available to upgrade for troops in your armory then we can see if there may be an error that you have to contact CS for

Like Quovatis said, you must make sure all of your existing troops are upgraded fully. Your cavalry is what turns into tanks. So in order for tanks to be available to research, you must first have your cavalry maxed out.

I think what we are all wondering is, or at least me, is how did he get to a level 8 black Smith without ever upgrading his HC?
