I want to choose a Nation with unique rifles but I am not sure which one of these are better:Korean or British.
Can I have some advice please?

The korean are stronger while the brits can hit towers without taking damage. So in all fairness it basically boils down to the extra loot won or that awesome extra tactic slot. You can request the brit rifles from your allies, you can't request that extra tactic.

Hope that helps :-]

As for me, Greeks rule!

I think Brits are better. Longer range leads to survival - less retraining - way more damage in the long run because ''the longer you live, the more you shoot''. The korean advantage is less able to prevent your riflemen from getting slaughtered by defensive buildings....so more damage in the short run but ''dead men don't shoot''.... two stupid aphorisms explain it all!

British longer range
korean more power/damage
chinese twice faster

your choice. You can get more powe with research and blessing but you can get more range or speed of fire. I was playing Chinese nation til enlightenment age then switched to French, I think it's more fun to use other types of troops. Do a comparison with what each of the nation has to offer.

Chinese may have the weakest unique rifles, but they also have +1 mercenary limit, which I find very useful for war. It means you can have 6 mercenary limit in enlightenment / industrial, where other nations get their 6th only in global.

If you're going to be playing actively, I might recommend the British over the Koreans.
You have control over how much benefit you can extract out of the nation bonus - extra loot per attack you make, over the Korean nation bonus of a percentage of loot being returned when you're attacked.
I like being in the driver's seat, and so, I went with the British when I wanted to try out a nation with unique archers for my second base.
Great point by Brand Marrow - better survival of troops means more damage you can cause over the course of the battle. This was another reason I chose the British.

We had a member of our alliance just switch from Korean to British. He says it's much easier to play as British. That range is the single most unbalanced part of the game. And I say that as a British nation.

Much like almost everyone agrees Napoleon is the best general.

Looked at my log. 75% of attacks on my base are by British civs. The ones who got 4-5 stars are 100% British (there was also a korean, but it dropped off). Yesterday, I kept a log. ~50% of the bases I encountered are British. I play in Empire league. What does that tell you?

I am saving up my crowns to change as well. I have enjoyed playing as Japan until I reached IA now it's redundant and time to swap. Can't decide on British or Germans. I need another 330 so will have plenty of time to make my final choice 😀

Ironblood As you are in EA go with Germans , they really are an OP nation starting from GPA.
Longer rally.
Faster rally cooldown.
15% dps boost to all troops thanks to teutonic fury (take brit shooters as donation , spare some troop space for either cavalry/tank/cannons and see how splendid attack goes).
And their unique troops are really best looters out there

I'm not sure if other archers don't trigger them, but my British archers don't trigger general or town center spawn while they and my howitzers attack them. This would be the tipping point in my opinion, as some donated cannons or high level generals can easily spell the difference in a successful attack.

This is of course as long as the archers don't get distracted by some soldiers to bring them within spawning range.

Here's what I came up with thinking over about unique shooters effectiveness.

Korean shooters with their dps boost are best at taking down non shooting buildings fast.

British are best at destroying shooting buildings.

Chinese are best at killing defenders swiftly.

Here is effeciveness diagram I've come up with.

Against non shooting buildings : korean ---> chinese ---> british
Against shooting buildings: british ---> korean --->chinese
Against defenders: chinese ---> korean ---> british

Note that I played brits and koreans, but didn't play chinese so I can be wrong, but IMO this diagram is accurate.

Tearing down non shooting buildings is all about dps output of you troops , that's why koreans are first placed , and chinese with their increased attack speed are second placed.

In destroying shooting defenses survivability is what matters the most , that's why +1 range of brits places them on first place , and dps boost of koreans gives them second place, cause those two nations shooters will suffer less loses of troops thanks to their unique traits.

When you kill defenders what matters the most is speed at which you can destroy them so that they won't reach your troops, that's why IMO chinese have upper hand here with their increased attack speed, and are followed by koreans. British +1 range doesn't really give much advantage over defenders that's why they are placed on third place. Their +1 range could even be seen as con , not pro when dealing with defenders taking into account that after ralying your troops they many times target economical buildings instead of spawned defenders. Their range of 5 makes them target those economical buildings more times than chinese or korean target them.

Each of shooter unique nations can be OP , you just have to understand pros and cons of yours unique shooters to plan your attacks and rallies accordingly

Against all three types, the British shooters would come out on top because:
Against non shooting buildings, the British spend more time shooting them down over spending battle time moving around, trying to reach those buildings. With a +1 range and +15% DPS, they take out more buildings in their range before they have to move from their place towards other targets. They spend less time moving about, and more time shooting, because they can shoot at more targets from their current position on the base.
Against shooting buildings, yes, they have better survival, as you've rightly said.
Against defenders, the ability to start shooting at them earlier, due to +1 range, along with a +15% damage, before the defenders can even start shooting back, more than compensates for the ability to shoot twice as fast later.

I can be wrong about chinese since I didn't play them.
But koreans do much better against non shooting buildings and defenders than brits do.
Played both nations.
As long as my koreans were destroying shooting defenses they were superior to brits.
I could 5 star bases with more time remaining if used sabotages on shooting defenses with koreans than going with brits with same troop comp

I agree with the comments about Brits.
British army is easier to handle.
The extra range can be a game changer.
