Hi all, again seeking to pick some brains as this forum has helped me in the past.
I'm wondering if it might be worth switching to French, for the time being. British and Koreans have both served me well, more so British, but I'm wondering if it might be time to change to French to fit my playing style. I like doing nonstop attacks, hammering rushed/weak EA and IA bases. My recent battles are a mix of 4/5 stars and medal dropping, and I can usually get at least 20mil in resources per day.
I'll give you an idea of where I'm at right now - it's pretty bad, but that's the point of me raiding as often as I can to ameliorate my bad defences and offence.
I'm upgrading the airstrip, one barracks, creating the first bunker (second is unlocked but I don't have any citizens), and upgrading the mercenary camp, all to IA level. I'm also sitting on 105,107 oil at the moment, which'll be maxed for sure by the time the earliest upgrade I have to finish (bunker, 2d1h) will be done, meaning I'll start on the fort then and later the factory upgrade.
I have maxed EA defences, along with the 4th catapult to EA level, and my walls are all level 10. I upgraded them all from 9 to 10 within the past 11 days, meaning an average of 21,540,000 gold/food per day. That's not counting the expensive upgrades I did over that time period, so it's probably over 30mil daily looted with training blessings and whatnot, which are criminally easy to get at low medals.

I want to get a significant portion of my walls up to level 11, and going French would be the best way to do that. I also get much more troop space in the alliance gate, meaning that I can get 2 APCs or even more howies from my alliance mates (both of which I love using). But the Brit rifles are the best UU in the game, and I'm not sure how to integrate French tanks into the army (since I'll have to use them in the absence of the powerful shooters), even though I do know that their tanks are pretty good and would defeinitely be no harm to include.
With the rubbish AI in this game, I really don't want to have to waste time retraining troops, but I have to far too often. I have no problem spending the $10 to revolution to French. Is it worth doing? Or should I just tough it out and grind harder?
I just lost 3 medics to a rogue horseman with 1/12 of his HP left who wasn't getting shot by my shooters no matter what I did. Funny, well actually not that funny, as I now have to waste 10 minutes of a training blessing for something that isn't even my fault, on a base that I have double the XP.
By the way - that's an artillery upgrade and a supply truck upgrade in the armoury. Biplane Mk3 and Tank are next.
