I think that every alliance should have a place where the leader can write the alliance rules or some other important messages.
The mailing system is not sufficient for writing the rules especially if they are more than 500 characters long (or whatever the character limit in the mail is).
The other problem is that only the last 3 mails are kept.

Ya I hate trying to type something out to send to everyone then have to cut it short cause there’s not enough room
