kagerou783 came up with a really good idea for base growth and development in this thread:
https://forum.nexonm.com/forum/nexo...ture-requests/605833-factions-ideology-system
But it reminded me of something I thought about some months ago, an idea about Capitalists vs Communists Wars.
It's a war system similar to the current 'wars' but limited to Global, Atomic & Cold War ages. Since there is so much anger towards the current wars I thought a new competition would keep us established players interested.
There would be no alliances but you join random teams of either 'Caps' or 'Coms'. Your weapons and tactics would depend on which team you're on, etc.
At the end of the wars you decide whether to keep prisoners or release them, or negotiate their release for additional war reparations, etc.
These wars would last for 4-5 days as the objective is not just to win a battle but to gain entire countries on a battlefield. The extra days are needed to implement long-term strategy and tactics, like getting economies to fall, sabotage of governments, etc.
It would also allow players more flexibilty in completing their battles. The overal war is not just won by the most cards, the best weapons, etc, but also by the implementation of tactics, deception, economic sanctions, etc.
I'm not sure how difficult this might be to design and implement but I think it would breathe some new life into the same old mechanics?
