Council Committee Update

Greetings Leaders,

We have some updates regarding issues around some of the Committee Bonuses.

Explosive Sniper AoE

First, Churchill’s Explosive Sniper Tower, we confirmed that this bonus is indeed working as far as implementing AoE damage in all encounters. We have discovered that there is a visual bug that can lead to a situation where the explosion animation doesn’t appear.

For awareness, the AoE has a very tight radius, units will have to be in very close proximity to one another to receive the AoE damage. Additionally, the explosion animation can be missed in the chaos of combat.

With the actual explosion effect, however, it doesn’t 100% appear every time that the AoE damage is applied, this aspect alone is not working as intended, and we’re investigating a fix. Unfortunately, watching via replays and friendly challenges, you can’t confirm that it works, but we did notice that the enemy units impacted by this AoE will die faster, which is to be expected, and sometimes show a lower health bar when standing next to a unit hit by the sniper tower. The visual can appear when you are attacking, but as mentioned it isn’t as consistent as we intended.

Musashi Signal Flare

We have also confirmed that the Musashi Committee Bonus (Signal Flare) is working as intended but, unfortunately, doesn’t appear in Replays. We’re also looking into updating this to make sure it reflects correctly when viewing these replays. If there are situations where the additional wave of troops or signal flare doesn’t work correctly outside of the known issue here please let us know so we can investigate further.

What’s Next

We are still investigating the rest of the Committee Bonuses to ensure our hypothesis is correct, but we believe that all of these bonuses just don’t appear when viewing a replay or within a friendly challenge. In our repeated tests, we can confirm that these do activate appropriately, but in the case of the aforementioned Bonuses, there are visual aspects that are missing. While we continue to research that this is the case, if you come across any other specific instances where something doesn’t appear quite as it seems, or if you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to our CS team or in our Report a Bug forum topic here.

Defender Spawn Speed Near Wonders is definitely not working… I shouldn’t have to waste war attacks to test these things, give me access to a testing account please

We tested multiple scenarios including trying the buff standalone, and then the buff with your exact setup as seen in the video. We still found that the Boudica committee buff is working as intended. why doesn't it work in the video? if it supposedly works? The video was recorded live. the bunker spawns exactly after 36 seconds ? How does it work for you but not for Lust ?

doesn't make any sense to me

@Harlems369th Is spying an opponents council and committee bonuses in the cards? Proper testing and planning can only be done if all the data is available.

we do not understand how it is working for you and not for Lust.
Please elaborate as Lust proved it doesnt and we know bot hthe attackers and defenders council and museum stats!

There needs to be some clarification here Harlems… some type of information is either not accurate or it is not working.

You have told us that “Defender Spawn Speed Near Wonders +20%” stacks with the effects of “Acropolis +22%”, giving a total of +42% Spawn Speed. If this is accurate, than there is absolutely no way that the buff is working. Literally a live recorded video from a war attack as verification.

Now if it doesn’t stack… then I can see why your team is saying it’s working as intended.

Can you please confirm 2 crucial pieces of information? Firstly, that the “Acropolis +22%” and “Defender Spawn Speed Near Wonders +20%” buffs do stack? Additionally, if the aura range emitted from Wonders is the same as the range from Acropolis?

But in our tests both bare minimum (single wonder) and with the parameters you have visible (Acropolis, Alliance, Guan yi and Red Cloud) the faster spawn rate from Boudica is working as intended.

Yes, still the same thing that I mentioned for the 11.5 release, Acropolis 22% and Committee Bonus 20% do stack. But you cannot stack multiple committee bonuses of this type (two wonder areas do not give a 40% boost, only 20%). Also, the radius is the same as the Acropolis wonder, this has not changed either.

Can you elaborate on what other factors there are?

Nothing in the University or Parliament have an effect on Defender Spawn Time for Bunkers (Hold the Gates Capstone only effect Garrisons & Tank Depots)

There’s only so many pieces to the puzzle and everything has been notated.

Increasing Enemy Defender Spawn Time:

✅Attacker museum EDST (nothing else will increase enemy defender spawn time)

Total: +163%

Decreasing Defender Spawn Time:

✅Def museum DST -145%
✅Def Alliance perk 18 -10%
✅Def Library Research-Battle Stations -3%
✅Acropolis -22%
✅Boudica Council Bonus active -20%
✅Guan & Red Council -22% DST

Total: -224%

Final Results:

163% - 224% = -59%

Defender has a -59% spawn time to their bunker. Since a bunkers base spawn time is 60 seconds then each spawn should happen every 24.6 seconds “if” Boudica Committee bonus was active.

(Without the -20% from Boudica Committee bonus then the difference would only be -39% spawn time to a 60 second base spawn time bunker. This would result in a 36.6 seconds for each spawn as exemplified in the video I posted)

This is all basic math of adding and subtracting percentages, then finding out what percentage of the spawn time is.

I don’t mean to be a pain in the butt about this but the numbers don’t lie. It is not working or your team is missing something.

Being the one that suffered injustice on the one hand and stopped having some form of communication on the other. Doesnt make sense... You will be, soon, on the same boat !!

I disagree, I think Harlems is reasonable when approached respectfully.

Unfortunately in your scenario he may be directed to not share any more information on the matter.

You have to keep in mind that this is his job and there are most likely some things he can and can’t say that comes from whomever he reports to.

I understand your frustration with the outcome but I’m really trying to just get down to the root of the discrepancy with this Committee Bonus because it is the bonus that has the most significant impact on the game in my opinion.

I think Harlens is a good forum administrator, although he often doesn't behave as we expect. But I believe that the work could be done better.
In any section of the forum many publications go without even a response. Whether in the suggestions, bugs or general discussion section. A very explanatory or complex return is not always necessary. Often, a simple answer would be enough to signal that the user was heard. Enthusiastic people full of ideas always appear in the suggestions for the game, but there is rarely any feedback and these people stop participating because they do not feel heard.
But there are questions about game systematics like the one exposed in this topic that need clarification. Although Harlens has returned some messages, it is significant, but the question remains open and the lack of responses leaves some players without really understanding how the game works. This opens us up to many interpretations and they are generally suspicious.
