Crown Pass 200% Deal False Advertising?

Today I bought the Crown Pass deal "200% more Crowns if you buy today" It sounded like a great deal, 1400 crown instead of 700 if you "purchase today." This seems to be complete false advertising. You get 800 crown total for the week still, correct? Somebody has also posted this topic in the "Bugs&Issues" forum

https://forum.nexonm.com/forum/nexo...gs-and-known-issues/629565-crown-pass-200-bug
The answer he got was "You should have gotten 100 crowns immediately and 100 later that day"

I also looked on reddit and one person posted 12 days ago about how you get 800 crowns total. No one ever mentions a "200%" deal.

Dominations is by far my favorite mobile game but this "200%" bonus crowns for purchase is a complete lie since you seemingly get the same amount no matter when you start the subscription. Am I missing something?

To be fair to Nexon, it looks like they've quietly pulled the '200%' thing...

Last time I looked, the crown ships description had updated to something like pay X and get 100 crowns immediately and then every day for 7 days. Which is now precise and accurate.

Put it down to over exuberant marketing... Obviously a mistake... I don't think they'll do it again...

No Title

Oops, I spoke too soon... No, Nexon haven't fixed the 200% advertising... This just popped up in my newsfeed...

I understand Nexon's marketing dept's view that '200% value' actually means 'double', when translated to plain English.
In the same way that '100% value' would mean 'exactly what you're supposed to get with nothing extra'.

But given that there are kids playing this game, it does leave a nasty taste in one's mouth...

Please fix this Nexon... You're better than this

If this is your beef with Nexon, you need some real drama in your life.

Haha, oh dear Manifesto... Sometimes you need to pull your tongue out of Nexon's (deleted)... >.<

Most companies want to make a profit. Quality companies don't need to resort to spin marketing, where they sell something with '200% value' instead of keeping it simple, like perhaps writing 'double' when double is what they mean.

My (and others if you care to read around the forums) beef as you call it, is that Dominations is a video game. A game played by kids.
Several players have interpreted '200% value' as '200% more'. And they feel aggrieved that they were misled.

The 200% quote is misleading, even if not inaccurate.

Dominations is by far my favorite mobile game but this "200%" bonus crowns for purchase is a complete lie since you seemingly get the same amount no matter when you start the subscription. Am I missing something?

Long time player, first time writer. On the first day of your new feature: the crown pass, you said if anyone who bought it on that day would receive 200%. False advertising or bug?
Now either all of those players are stupid. Or, if Nexon is a grown up company, it might be happy to take more care with its words.

Aggressive marketing is aggressive marketing... Some folks enjoy being upsold through aggressive marketing... Perhaps that group includes you?
If that's the case my friend, I've got a lovely car right here for you. It's got 400% wheels, 600% if you include the steering and spare.
But since I like you, you can have it for only 200% value. It's a steal Mani...? PayPal accepted.

Now, for some serious drama, throw me that RPG launcher and grenade pack. Guess it's time to get back to Fortnite... :)

(Nothing personal M, I'm only yanking your chain, hehe, and I'm sure you were only yanking mine)

I always encourage spirited discourse. :D
Anyway, doesn't Nexon spell out how many crowns you get for your money? Regardless of what their marketing 'spin' is, it's there in text. If people get caught out they should accept the consequences.
Let the buyer beware.
My tongue has never been in Nexon's (deleted) but that doesn't stop me from putting my boot up people's (deleted), but only when they deserve it! :D

200% always means double. It is not Nexon's fault that someone doesn't understand the basic math.

Also, you get what is adversited, doble the crowns you can get by standard purchase at the in-game store.

Yup, there was an outpour of complaints when they initially launched it, using only the '200% more' line. Apparently many folks didn't understand the math, and some even considered it misleading. Horror, lol! Since then, Nexon have cleaned up their explanation. So now it says precisely what you get... 100 now, and 100 every day for the next seven days...

Dom offers several crown offers in my region:

500 crowns for $4.99 = 1 crown per cent
1,200 crowns for $9.99 = 1.2 crowns per cent
2,500 crowns for $19.99 = 1.25 crowns per cent
6,500 crowns for $48.99 = 1.33 crowns per cent
14,000 crowns for $99.99 = 1.4 crowns per cent

Every month or so, Nexon bump up the highest by what they call a '+50% offer'.
(so far, they haven't called this a '+150% offer', but maybe that's coming, to keep it in line with the new '200% value'?)
It's usually 21,000 crowns for $99.99 = 2.1 crowns per cent

All in all, I gotta admit that the crown ship is pretty good value.
You get +100% more crowns than the worst offer in the Treasure tab. All you have to do, is login and claim it, once every day.
Heck, the crown ship is only 5% worse value than the best offer when it's on the +50% (or +150% in new speak) offer.
I even bought one myself. The crown ship, not the expensive one. I'm a value investor, what can I say, hehe...

Caveat emptor is a wise way to live one's life... But sadly there are folks who will fall prey to a certain US President's view that you can con some of the people all of the time, and all of people some of the time...

I get my kicks from figuring out the true facts for myself... and then, you know, just doing the right thing... Boots unnecessary (although they do look jolly smart on the folks who need em)
