I have a simple question. Does this event building work like the old ones did. You get a army every 6 hrs that goes to your troop tray. Or when you collect your army does it go to the stronghold?

When you get the krall (depot, or whatever the final goal is called), you get an army every 6 hours, in your bar, to be used right away, it can't be stored. Six hours later a new army is available, only if you used the previous army. I would assume that the last army will stay in your bar at the end of your 7 days, until you use it.

The first army (step 1) and the 2 armies (step 3) go in storage right away, to be used whenever you wish

I have a different question about the buildings in inventory. If I had several buildings that add 5 troops space (e.g. Ninja dojo), could I deploy them all at once and gain added troop space bonuses? For example 3x Dojo for +15 troop space?

No they only let u have one extra building at a time.
