decoy malfunctioning or normal?

i noticed that if my troops get closer to a defensive building than where i placed my decoy, the defensive building will switch target to hit my troops although the decoy is still on ground (just because my troops are closer to it than decoy)

i asked CS didn't get clear answer, they said we advise u to deploy decoy before ur troops enter defensive buildings range????

i know this is is is wrong unprofessional answer since we all know buildings will switch target to decoy even if troops in their range

my question is, is it normal that defensive buildings switch target back to my troops even if decoy still persistent??

Don't know that it is normal or not, but the same happens to me too...

I believe it is normal. Since the defensive buildings aren't able to be rallied.
The 1 second pulse of the decoy works as a rally, since the units rashing towards the decoy are faster and concentrated their attacks.
So, the defensive buildings will consider the decoy as an ordinary enemy unit, rather than a priority target. So they will shoot whichever is closer, decoy or your army(except sniper, )

They attack the closest unit, except for sniper tower which attacks the furthest, decoy or otherwise.

I don't mind that, but what I do mind is that I get Big Huge Lag when I use decoy. I can't do anything, battle time still ticking and I can't click or drop anything and it lasts until decoy time ends. It's not every time like that, sometimes I don't have lag when using decoy but I can't look to the future and know if it is going to lag in my world war attack or not. I thought that maybe my playing device is a problem although it shouldn't be, but my alliance mates have it also on some pretty powerful devices there aren't many better of those

yep i know decoy has awful lag for lower devices, and from my experience don't hope it will be better anytime later, the only thing u can do is upgrade ur device or play on pc using android emulator

I also have lag and that on a S7 edge... i think that's bs...if s7 edge is low end device than what is high end
