So I finally gave up on the game. I used to love it so much, but, damn, they really keep finding a way to make those of us who don't pay for the game hate it. I've been playing since the beginning, and I have really tried to enjoy it. It's just unfortunate that every good thing about this game has been destroyed time and time again. It used to be great for those of us who were willing to spend a few hours raiding, as long as we were able to keep our troops by attacking bases that we found we could destroy 100%. Then they made it more difficult to find those bases with an update.
Okay, so they figured out that it was easy to find those bases in unranked. Fair enough, I get it, that was basically cheating how easy it was to find those bases. Next, we figured out that being Greek and having beast mod Cavalry was awesome. They killed everything, and life was good. You could fight against pretty strong bases, and you could take out most of the defenses with a good strategy (not always, sometimes your strat sucked, and you'd get worked). So they nerfed those beautiful beasts for the Greeks and French. This made it pointless to EVER be Greek. There is literally no perk to being Greek. The last 45 minutes of your upgrades being nullified is just silly on a 7 day upgrade. You don't even notice it, honestly.
Next, we left the Greeks and went French. Now, I know there is the whole stupid cheat where you can close the app after stealing everyone resources, which is the only perk there is to being French. I don't care that I'm telling people, because there are still tons of cheaters, so who cares if people know about this BS. Also, the French USED to have the ability to launch an entire army in about 1 minute. And I'm talking cannons/supplies/minions. That recently got phased out, too. Every. Single. Perk. is gone. You can't have ANYTHING good in this game. So, those of use who spent 600 crowns to go French just got screwed. From one nerf to another. What a bunch of bull.
Also, the upgrades are just stupid now. 7 million for a couple points upgraded on DPS is just the silliest damn thing I've ever seen. There is absolutely no reason to play this game anymore. It's just not fun anymore. I've tried so hard. I just deleted it, and it's a relief. Clash of Clans knows what's up.
