Disappearing troop donations

Multiple times in the last three hours I've asked my alliance for troops and someone has donated. However, when I check my TC and/or barracks, they aren't there...furthermore, when I go into a fight to check, the alliance flag isn't on my action bar. I'm trying to participate in a war and my teammates can't donate anything to help me because it gets lost in the ether...

Oh I hate when donated troops disappear!

I'd suggest you restart the game but I hesitate to sound like CS and you probably already have rebooted, etc.

I have a similar situation where troops donated for War disappear as soon as the Was starts so they cannot be used in an attack. Instead troops already in your Town Centre are available instead. This only happens to myself and a few in the Clan, not everybody.
It would be nice to get it fixed as this has being going on since the Patch in May.

Yes it's good advice but it shouldn't be necessary.
Also, what about troops that are donated and NEVER appear, even with a restart?
There must be a maelstrom somewhere sucking in thousands of donated troops!
