Do museum benefits affect alliance troops?

I have a neat artifact providing 6% and 11% to heavy cavalry hitpoints, which is alluring since I have an alt set up to donate unique tanks to me. Are the benefits I research in the museum going to apply to them, or will I have to figure out how to incorporate them into my army?

by the stat numbers on the info screen, museum artifacts do seem to affect donated troops.

in practice though, i would test it by setting up friendly challanges where i can have them run over landmines and see how many they take with and without the artifacts activated.

You should be able to see he numbers as well. Once you have the troops on the town center, you can see their hp and just compare them to what they normally would/should be. Alliance donated troops become your troops so they gain what lever bonuses you have whether research/museum and also lose whatever bonuses the original donator had.

What he said. :)
Donate a tank before you activate the artifact, check the stats, then activate the artifact. Check again.

Museum benefits are not added up to the statistics of the troop info. just like coalition benefits you can just "feel" them during the attacks... It would be really handy tough, if we could see them at the "Prepare for Battle" screen.

Yes, they do. Well, there's a 95% chance that they do (nothing is certain in the Dominations universe). However, a few related notes:

* Your example references "heavy cavalry" ... I highly recommend not investing museum resources into heavy cavalry as they are a dead troop; don't use them (instead, Heavy Tanks are awesome)
* A related question is 'do war museum stats apply to donated defensive troops?' ... the likely answer is yes but this is not yet certain
* Main hall museum statistics do show up in troop screen shot information; whereas war hall museum statistics do not

Bottom line: assume they do, but don't alter your museum upgrade decisions for this reason.

I think it's bad advice to suggest people should invest in tanks if they are below atomic. Tanks are the best meat shields up until you start encountering only silos. They are cheap and can be trained very quickly so you can continuously refresh your army.

HT are only as good as the air support that protects them and youll want to pair them with well equipped planes. You should upgrade them to be sure, but dont think you will be rolling into an easy battle with a level2 ht because you've got a decent museum card.

Besides, the first 5% of museum benefits are cheap, so you might as well invest in a card you can use now rather than a really great card you wont even use for 2 ages.
