Drop effectiveness of Combat Engineers against top level walls

Considering the HUGE amount of time and resourses necessary to obtain level 15 walls, it is absolutely ridiculous that a single combat engineer can run up and blow a huge hole in them! You keep "nerfing" the strike fighters and making them weaker, you definitely need to do the same to the combat engineers. Their effectiveness needs to be limited by the level of walls they are going against. It should take a minimum of 6 combat engineers to penetrate a level 14 wall, and at least 10 to get through a level 15 wall! There has to be some kind of reward for getting to those level of walls!

The counter to them is dividing your defenses into enclosed sections so that breaking into one wall doesn't mean they've penetrated through all your defenses. Mind sharing your base?

So you want 40 spaces to be wasted on engineers? That's not balanced. What they have right now is perfect: the wall breacher upgraded to it's age being able to demolish all walls upgraded to the same age.

There is a reward - your opponent has to have upgraded his engineers and used up troop space for a unit that only does one thing. You are forcing them to game plan around your walls, knowing they will get hung up on them if they don't. You still have the option for multiple layers, design weak points with traps (a landmine as the player's one miner is about to hit your wall can screw up their whole attack). These are specialist units that do one task - if they don't do it well, might as well not exist.

I also think that a wall-breaker should be able to blow through an equivalent level wall. Perhaps make the hole only 1 segment, so it can't break into multiple cells with one strike. If the wall- breaker is higher level than the wall, it will take out three segments.

I like Tsamu's idea. It's not the fact that they blow a hole in the wall. It's the fact that they blow a hole in 3-5 walls. Very frustrating to see when walls cost me 6,300,000 each, which is far more than the engineer upgrade itself costs. It's bad enough that rifles inexplicably get to shoot over them.

If someone is going to spend billions on their walls they shouldn't be easily overcome by such cheap troops
