Editing bases

When I edit my base I don’t have a button that lets me pick up all the buildings. I’ve seen it on YouTube though so I’m kinda confused.

It's there on mine. Post a photo of what you see when you go into the village editor.

You can't do that on your "active" base. You can only do that when editing either a War base or one of the non-active base layouts.
