are you going to actually sell the enigma machine artifact or is it only going to given to the cheaters who top the leaderboard?

I hope not. Because I grinded my ass off to get to top 100. Are there cheaters up there? Probably. Most likely some did cheat. But giving the reward to whales would be just a slap in the face to all who worked really hard to earn it. Some things can't be bought, enigma machine should be one of them.

Cryos - It is frustrating for sure. I’m at about 45k XP and the event is almost over. I am an extremely active player, top donator in my alliance, bought the Event Pass, finished all the Goals, and I'm nowhere near the top. It’s plain as plain that folks at the top are Gaming the System. There is a difference between honest grinding and Gaming the System. The problem with the War Base donations that allowed folks to gain thousands of XP, seemingly like magic, should have been fixed as soon as it was discovered; this concerns me. I spent money on the Event Pass and never stood an honest chance at winning the event. The folks with multiple accounts who Gamed the System are at the top of the Leaderboard, and now they will be rewarded with an Enigma Machine. Seriously? I am suspending spending any further $ on this game. A game that I love, but can no longer support.

but you are not SA. You can't compete with others for the enigma unless you have archaelogy done

There is always gaming of the system but it needs to remain honest. Like you get more points crafting items? So do just that.....

@Wrathchild - I hope your comment was sarcasm. Leveling up Museum Artifacts at a 100 XP a pop is not causing the inflated numbers we are seeing on the Leaderboards.

StarTrekAlliance it is. Leveling artifacts is more efficient than base donations. I'm around #50 spot on global leaderboard, most from artifacts. I tried war base donations too, it's just too slow, unless you're willing to spend thousands of crowns to train troops instantly. In museum I get 1k of xp in about a minute.

sponge - Not buying what you’re trying to sell. No way are those inflated numbers from leveling up Museum Artifacts. The math just isn’t there to support your comment. The inflated numbers are clearly from folks with multiple accounts who gamed the system, using the War Base troop donation loophole, and probably donating/dumping between their accounts.

Nope Sponge is right. Easily 3x faster crafting artifacts from museum than donating troops.

I finished rank 40 and StarTrekAlliance you dont know what you are saying. Of course the museum is the thing that caused all those high XP players. I had almost 1.2M. No it wasn't sarcasm. It is reality

you are wrong. Plain and simple.

Before the event I had around 25000 fragments and an equal number of blueprints. Started crafting non stop for days and days...Now I have 120000 blueprints and 13000 fragments. They were never depleted and I crafted tens of thousands of artifacts.

StarTrekAlliance ok, here’s the math. 1k xp per minute, and that’s a conservative assumption. 2M xp comes out to 33 hours and 20 minutes of crafting. Insanity but if you’re motivated it’s easily doable in 10 days.

@Wrathchild and Sponge - XP was earned for LEVELING UP artifacts not for Crafting. 100 XP earned for each Artifact that was leveled up. This means that a person who had 1,000,000 XP from Artifact leveling would have had to level up 10,000 artifacts. Bull shizzle...not buying it. Even if that was the case, you started the event at a different starting line because you had piles of fragments. Still not fair. Players for Events should begin the game at the same starting line.

yes that's what we mean. We leveled all artifacts +1 and 3 star artifacts +2 to prevent fragments from being depleted. got it now?

And I started the whole thing with 25000 fragments. Not much If you ask me. It is your problem that you didn't keep more.

Those aren't cheaters on top; but rather they are Space Age players with Archaeology completed.

Archaeology allows anyone to build (and upgrade) museum artifacts virtually forever as the 3 star artifacts are a net gain. In other words, you _gain_ fragments/blueprints after upgrading all 3 lines by 1 (e.g., 1% to 2%) and then selling. Do the same with 2 star artifacts (and 1 artifacts too to gain fragments) and you can go virtually forever. Yes, it's true. Only thumb pain and time are constraints.

The Event's main XP source was this (artifact upgrades) which do not require Supplies; but rather only require 40 blueprints and a little gold|food|oil.

This Event also exposed the OP nature of Archaeology to the unaware Dominations world; or at least should have.

Troop donations was another source; some folks donated/dumped in war bases to receive XP (which is faster than usual means) but still, the Museum was the main sort of XP.

I believe BHG has learned from this and will make Museum a smaller part of future Events.

Edit: I see comments of confused users not believing the OP nature of museum upgrades. Please accept this knowledge as fact, because it is and always has been. This is why so many SA players can have maxed museum artifacts; the only bottleneck was Supplies as all other factors are considered free/unlimited.

wrathchild_78 do you upgrade 3* twice each row? I've heard that some did that, but that's a huge waste of bp, you spend 1320, and get 990 back, net loss of 330.
And agree with starting fragments statement, keep more next time.

Pretty sure the enigma machine has already been for sale in the past. So they will probably sell it again at some point

The enigma machine is a bit of an enigma to me. The top 100 who got it are most likely all high level SA players, and this artifact would be far more useful for lower level players who haven't already completed their library and all/most of their uni. The other perks help a bit with grinding, but it's not that hard to five star MP bases as is. Cool reward, but it ended up in the hands of people who don't need it.

As for the event, I would like it structured so that if you hit certain milestones you get the prize, regardless of your leaderboard rank. The groups, in particular, were a total crapshoot. My main required 500K to win, my alt required 50K.

This was the first time the Enigma Machine was available. It was created specifically for this WWII themed event. Events in the future will very likely debut other Legendary Artifacts, Troop Tactics, or Limited Time Buildings too.

LOL im confused. How did the groups get organized? Apparently i finished first in my group with only like 19k xp. didnt get the enigma machine but did get the "white death war kit" war legendary plus 10 tank chests and 5 heavy tank destroyer contracts. pretty nice for a FTP player. I wasnt even able to get the bazooka tower unlocked so im not sure how i won the group. pretty good rewards for modest effort.
