Excessive Forum Restrictions

Aren't the new forum restrictions on new accounts a little excessive? I know there were problems with Korean bots spamming several boards, but I made my account more than 2 weeks ago, have 3 approved posts (all of which took over 24 hours each to approve, by the way), and 2 more posts waiting to be approved now. I haven't even been added to the "Waiting for approval" subgroup yet. I see no reason to continue posting on this forum as of now, because by the time my posts are approved the thread I've posted to is already on page 2. Now that you have several new moderators, do you think the strict restrictions could be lowered a little?

It may seem excessive, but it helps us prevent spam from ever making it to the boards. Your patience is appreciated, as we approve each post from new members manually!

After your first post is approved, your future posts should be fine. If that's not the case, I will have the tech team look into it.

I am getting tired of my 'awaiting to be approved' status. I am guessing e demand for a more active forum isn't high on priority list. What exactly are the criteria? This is the first game forum that does this ... Very odd!

I didn't mean to sound unappreciative, I realize this has to be done manually. However, even after all this time and a dozen posts I'm still being moderated, which I find excessive is all.

Btw, i have posted at least over 25 posts by now...this method to reduce spam is pointless. You can always ban spammers instead of penalizing legit forumers.

That's just a title, not a status. You are in the correct group, and I'll fix your title. I'll also ask our tech team what's up with that, since it seems to be a problem for a handful of people.

Thank you, GreatSlothDetective and Ironangel. The issue with my forum account has been resolved - I'm very impressed with the timely manner this was addressed and fixed. I'm glad to see things really are (slowly, but surely) taking a turn for the better, we certainly do notice!
