Favorite raiding troops

So what kind of troops, do you use for raiding players. Atm im about to go for gunpowder age, once i got all my walls to lvl 7. But at 200 k a piece, it's a slow process requiring a lot of gold. So atm im using these to farm players. 26 crossbows 62 foot soldiers 1 healing if required I usually win most battles, but i don't care about medals. If my medals go to high I switch to heavy cavalry raiders, and just drop medals while going for loot only.

Heavy Cavalry Raiders are my favourite troops because I'm always rushing for resources and town halls.

Raiders are too easily distracted by troops. I thought they would mindlessly pursue resources like goblins do in Clash, but I am not having the same success with them. I use infantry and archers, with many more infantry than archers. The infantry do so much more damage, and you only need a few archers, say 10-15, to mop up the defenders.

I just build an entire army of Fusiliers (The main melee troop, yours might be called Pikemen or something different depending on Race and Age). This only works because I keep my medals low on purpose so I can raid people at a lower level than me. The army is super cheap and builds quickly. This won't work for you if you are attacking people higher level than you.

I am currently at the Iron Age so i am uncertain what might be the best troop for your age but at the moment i find the horse raider to be the best troop. I am currently trying to find loot and grow as quick as possible and i spend about 1000 food to build up an army during which time i hunt animals and get way more than the 1000 that i used to make them. I then go and attack bases and almost always get over 25k food and gold each. Although i lose all my troops and medals i don't mind since i am just trying to get resources to improve myself not getting medals
