Massively OP fighters were great fun, but destroyed game balance. Obviously this will never be a permanent change, but for 3 days it was a little light relief. Should BHG ever do it again? Maybe with a different unit?

No doubt now that battle data will show that Rebalance stage 3 was a rousing success!

I like change, so it was fun to have something different on the battlefield. However, it made attacking and winning too easy, so I think it would become boring after a time. I’m one who likes a challenge and thought the rebalance was sorely needed as war had become static. I look at Dominations the same way I look at the chess board, the more challenging, the sweeter the victory!

This idea had some fun in it, but it also had a huge drawback - for many players it turned into another frustrating “they took my oil with no effort” issue.

It's a good idea, I like extra entertainment
Trove is nice cause it's action game in minecraft universe and everyone want to play in that game. sometimes when I'm back from the school of mining (all my family are miners) i speak with them about Trove and minning items. So we are interested in all available locals and crafts for Trove.
If you'll ask me when and where you can buy flux or something else. Buy trove items at Odealo https://odealo.com/games/trove

Seems like it would mostly break down to if you were active enough to take advantage of it and had means to spend the loot it was cool. If you've spent time to upgrade your defenses and were sitting on loot waiting to do upgrades? Not so much.

i'd like to see single unit bonuses on every event....
eg just the infantry bonus for a weekend.
the fighter thing was an experiment -- we should encourage experiments and forgive temporary fumbles.

This was clearly the worst idea, far worse than all the rebalances together. It ruined most of the wars during the event, especially those starting/ending not in sync with the "event".

If this rule-breaking non-sense is giong to be offered each weekend, I will definitely sing out from the wars during weekends. I'm interested to play a strategy game, not a slot machine game.

I also feel it was a big mistake by BHG. Players were just at the point of trying to get use to rebalancing and then a temporary circus comes to town. Now you will see player withdrawal all over again. Seems to me the Fighter thing was done in desperation just as many players were starting to give up on the game.
My advice to BHG is to let players get use to all this rebalancing stuff and stay away from these type of gimmicks. Yes, I also took advantage of the Fighter circus and gained enough oil to upgrade a general in the 50’s range by 5 more levels. It’s was simply to easy. Kind of got boring after a while.

I wouldn't mind seeing an event like this every 2 or 3 months. Preferably with a week's notice so everyone could plan accordingly. As has been mentioned it pretty much turns the rules of the game on their head so doing it too often would wear out the novelty pretty quickly. Was nice to get some mileage from my neglected lower age accounts though.

It kind of felt like they were trolling us. Hey, look how much fun these awesome planes can be! And then right after the event they announce 250% HP increase for all remaining buildings. The plane boost was obviously over the top, but I think a permanent 50% boost to plane stats wouldn't be unreasonable. They need to throw us a few bones on offense to keep this game engaging and not just painfully difficult. I don't mind challenging, but when you have top alliances sniping 3D bases for 2 stars because there is no hope of getting more, then I think the pendulum has swung a bit too far in one direction.

Any gameplays imbalance is bad, including temporary. BHG used these promotions to draw players attention to units that they felt were not in high demand. To do this, it is better to implement a demo mode - including all possible unit improvements for the Age at the player's request. And use this demo mode in friendly calls.
But what BHG does in these promotions is primitivism!
