Game is completely unplayable

First of all I can't farm at all. I just hit enlightenment age, but everything I have is still gunpowder standards, yet I'm expected to fight industrial opponents? All medieval and below targets are now invisible to me. That's complete bull shit. What a matchmaking fail.

Add to that, the game keeps crashing randomly, usually before I get to the end battle screen so I can't recover my army, which means I have wait 45 minutes and spend 50k food to replace it all before I can attack again.

Add to that, the AI is so fucked up, fucking archers keep ignoring the defenders attacking my supply carts and cannons, so one defending soldier is allowed to walk past my entire army and kill my high value units which makes for a great rest of the battle.

Add to that, the price of everything is so ridiculously high now, you have to stay online basically 24/7, otherwise you lose more than you take every time you log off.

Add to that, the game is still full of obvious cheaters, which makes me feel like why am I farming at all, I should just look for the cheat they are using to save so much time.

This game is just unplayable right now. It's just discussing how things have gotten so bad. They don't seem to care about the problems. They just want to rush new content to please the pay-to-win players and who cares about the rest of the game. Just sad.

I'm not trying to be recruit-y here- but have you joined a good alliance? These are all issues a good group of more veteran allies could have helped you through. I'm sorry you're having such a terrible time right now- it is absolutely not fun to be in such a position. You should have been better prepared to make the age upgrade, but don't worry all is not lost now! Some of the problems you're having can be remedied. Your best bet will be to get temple to level 5 and start maxing out offense (raiders will probably be your priority).

Crashing- there's a post in general discussion about that now; some tips might help. But probably you'll just have to push through that (I certainly have to- and yes, it's frustrating, to put it mildly).

AI- yes, all old issues from a few updates ago now; but raiders will still be your most reliable option (even though they act bizarre as well at times).

Price- once you get into a farming groove, this will not be such a big issue. I regularly have excessive amounts of resources on hand 3-5million + and either don't get attacked, or get attacked for some with an 8hr PT (keep your TC accessible).

Cheaters- there's a lot of them, but I don't see many in my medal range; if you want to go up in leagues, unfortunately they are something you just have to deal with (screenshot them and complain).

It's frustrating now, but if you stick to it, with a little work, you can still have fun And get into a good active alliance!!

My last attack I litterally spent more on my army than I got back and that was the easiest opponent I could find. I should hang in there despite going negatve each attack? I used to attack back to back with surviving troops. I could attack every 5 minutes. Now I get less per attack and spend more and have to wait more than 30 minutes to retrain an army. The game either crashes, or the attack is blown by the stupid AI. I just love watching enemy defenders walk right past all my archers unnoticed and freely kill the cannons and supply carts. That never gets old. I think we are waaaaaay past the "beta" phase of this game. These type of issues are just not acceptable anymore.

Try using fewer troops, the more troops you use increase the chance of a crash. fewer troops means fewer resource using to train. Just snipe the tc and raid the resources. Most of my attacks involves four troops 3 tanks and 1 wall miner. Gets the job done.

Anyone that isn't willing to optimize their design and adapt their strategy to maximize their goals certainly isn't going to be anything but frustrated. The game is still manageable. The issues you're experiencing are all well known and many players can and do successfully get around them. If you want to, you can as well. It's all about motivation and persistence.
