I agree that, based upon previous history, it should be obvious to most people that this is a one time use item. What I do not understand though, is that based upon stats of previously sold, one-time-use items, who would pay $10 for old George?
I believe, that this is either accidentally, or more likely purposefully, misleading. I would be interested to hear from anyone who actually purchased this item, if they thought it was permanent, or one-time-use.
I came very close to impulsively just hitting the button, thinking that this was one of those Easter egg (or in this case Independance Day egg) items. These type of items are very common in many other similar type games. It was only after very carefully reading the language that I suspected it to be one-time-use. Still not 100% sure, and not wanting to miss out on what could have been a cool "gift" to longtime players, I came to the forum to see if anyone else had the same question.
You see, I have already been a sucker once and purchased the Aztec Temple for $14.99, thinking it was permanent. It did not say "Duration: 7 Days" like every other building like this (see screenshot, attached).
Before you say, "Why didn't you contact customer service?", I did. They told me to seek a refund through Apple. They even gave me very detailed instructions on how to do so, which were incorrect.
The bottom line is that I believed that the Aztec Temple was an accident. Now I'm not so sure.
Buyer beware! Make sure you know what you are getting for your money or save it for something else.
