Generals recovering time

Hi all, we all know that generals are supposed to have a time recovering after they are wounded in battle, but does someone knows the details?

So many times, my general ends the battle with full or near full health, and he will still have to rest like 6 hours!!!

I'm trying to find a way to have generals always for battles, but it seems a bit random when they go to recover? I think that they even have a number of battles, after 3 or 4 battles, no matter the healths they have, they go to heal...

Will be nice if someone could share info, thanks, since games description are so criptic, and wiki is so poor...

the time recovering looks based on damage taken, not final health. So healers don't help.

Ohhh!! I see, yeah then makes sense, because I have always though no matter if they were heal, they will still need to recover...

So if they are untouched battle after battle, they won't need to rest?

also not sure if it depends on "damage taken" or "lowest point of health" (which is obviously different due to heal carts)

If a general is lost on defense, the max timer is 8 hours

It seems like that. But it seems like i've lost them for longer than that occasionally. Also, a few times when i had all generals full health, but deactivated; after an attack, multiple generals are on cooldown.

So then extra range when getting tanks ones is even more important of what I imagined... Since healers or first aid tactic won't help...
i dont think this the only value u get from making ur generals lvl 20+, i remember that napoleon had an extra attack speed at lvl 19+ or something like that
but yea making generals ranged is a real deal, it make them much less vurnable to anti tank guns, traps, etc but make them less tanky since they should draw mortar fire from shooters and that will be lost if they become ranged (they will be in the same line with shooters)

No, they won't? Shooter range is 4, isn't generals tank range 3?

And that about Napoleon I read too, for that I have started with him, but as it is a "secret" stat, that won't appear on game... Difficult to check.

yep they will become range 3 but thanks to current AI shooters tend to get much closer to mortar fire when they see any defender they rush to it no matter how far and with ranged tanks/generals they will become in more danger, thats why the only way to avoid this is being british, they r always away from mortar fire even with the current suicidal AI of shooters
and yea, attack speed is not mentioned in units stats i just read it from a previous patch notes
